Hey folks! Hopefully this isn't TMI for ya, but I have been dealing with a lot of weird health stuff the last few years. And I think celery juice may be my miracle cure! I've noticed a lot of small changes during the past four months - can't wait to see how much my life changes after doing this for a year! I'd love to hear if you have tried celery juicing or anything else recommended by Anthony William. Cheers to good health!

I did CJ at the height of the craze. My skin looked better, i was able to scratch off a skin tag. I got tired of juicing and stopped, the tag came back. I’m back on the wagon. I feel less brain fog. I will continue now forever, I sense all my maladies can be remedied with a healthy liver. The price of celery has normalized too🎉

Dude, insurance in America is out of freaking control!!!!! My husband and I are both dual American and French citizens, so we always have the option of going back to France...and no joke, insurance is the main reason we will leave if and when we do. (And better quality food over there!!!) Def will keep you posted on health stuff and celery juicing. It's been so crazy going through this journey because the more I talk to people, the more I realize that so many people are dealing with chronic health stuff! I'd say at least 75% of my female friends have some form of chronic health crap!

Woah! I’ve struggled with eczema since high school (I’m 33). It’s fascinating to learn about the possible connections. My ten year old daughter has arm bumps (kp). We should REALLY try this! I’d love to see a video on your personal health struggles (I know the migraines and sluggish liver) and what you use/eat daily/weekly for overall health maintenance. I know it varies and is constantly changing, but I think getting a chunk of someone’s holistic health is helpful for a lot of people.

Well, hello Karen from New Zealand! I've heard NZ is just the most gorgeous place - hopefully I'll make my way there for a trip one day! I just hit my one year celery juicing anniversary (video coming soon!) and am so glad I went down this path. I feel like my health stuff isn't all resolved yet, but I feel a lot better physically and mentally than I did a year ago. I hope it will help you, too!!! Keep me posted!

Thank you Kendra, I am going through your celery related videos and wanted to ask you - is there any particular video where you are talking about your diet except juice? What else? I started drinking juice around month ago and wondering if it will be enough to heal and feel better....
@crazykenz4203
@crazykenz4203 3 года назад
Hi Aga, no I haven't done a video specifically about my diet...cuz it kind of always is changing, but I'll write some notes here about what I do! Since I started celery juicing, though, I've really been serious about cutting out some things and that has helped a lot. I think I mentioned it in one of my celery juicing videos, but after a few months of celery juicing, I really couldn't eat much meat (I haven't eaten chicken for over a year because the last couple times I did, I threw it back up). If I do eat meat, it's usually a small amount of beef or a small amount of salmon (and usually only like once or twice a month, max). Sometimes I feel ok with meat, sometimes I feel kinda nauseous. I also really try to avoid dairy and absolutely stopped eating eggs (I noticed a huge improvement in my skin when I stopped with eggs - I used to get these super painful pimples around my mouth and chin area and when I cut out eggs, those went away within a month). I was already gluten free before I started with the celery juicing, so still absolutely avoid that (I get terrible migraines that last for days if I accidentally eat wheat). I also found that eating less fat has helped a lot. I'm super concerned about cleaning out my liver and gallbladder and I noticed that I'd get weird pains in that region of my body if I ate a lot of fat (I used to put MCT oil in my morning green tea and would have pain shortly afterwards). I usually focus on eating a lot of fruits and vegetables, some grains (brown rice, quinoa), and also dried beans sometimes, maybe nuts here and there. I eat a mix of raw and cooked foods (I see a lot of people talking about only eating raw, but it's really hard for me because I actually really love to cook and try new recipes, so going all raw for me seems too restrictive and wouldn't be fun for me!). I still eat some fermented stuff - kimchi sometimes and jun or kombucha now and then (I used to drink a lot more kombucha/jun and made my own, but have been on a bit of a break recently). I also drink other juices than celery juice (usually will do a grapefruit/orange one and also try to do burdock/apple/ginger/turmeric - burdock is super good for cleaning out the liver, but can be hard to find). I do a lot of herbal teas, too (I have jars and jars of random herbs that I use for teas - thyme, nettle, hibiscus, etc.). I sometimes will make smoothies, but don't do it too often in the winter months because I just get too cold from eating them! I generally make most of my food from scratch (but still will cave in now and then and get a veggie gluten free pizza from Papa Murphy's - see, I avoid dairy, but haven't eliminated it completely). I sometimes do coconut milk yogurt - I like the Oui brand, but that's also cuz I reuse the jars for making candles, haha! So yeah, I guess I focus a lot on eating a plant-based diet (mostly organic) with the occasional meat or cheese thing. I try to drink a lot of water and herbal tea, but also do have a couple cups of green tea in the morning (I can't drink coffee - I overdid it in my 20s and it jacked up my stomach and now just makes me feel weird and gives me crazy anxiety). For sweeteners, I generally use honey or maple syrup. I sometimes make my own cashew/coconut/oat milk for golden lattes or mushroom hot chocolate (did videos on both of those, in case you are interested!). I also try to get stuff that's locally grown, but definitely could do better with that. Hope that helps! I definitely feel like with celery juicing, I have made a lot of changes in my diet. I figure, if I'm going through the energy and expense of making the celery juice daily, I don't want to eat a bunch of crap and negate the healing!!! I'm almost at two years of nearly-daily celery juicing and I can really tell a difference on the days that I don't do it (just feel cranky and tired and like food doesn't digest properly). Best wishes on your healing journey and keep me posted!!! Will be doing a two year anniversary of celery juicing in a couple months! xoxo

I always liked the idea of trying this, but thought "dang, celery is expensive." Have you thought of trying to grow some in your garden next season? I wanna try to grow some actually. Also, congrats on the progress, and good luck. :)

OMG celery is so expensive - I completely understand! I am starting to go for more like 24 ounces of juice cuz 32 ounces is just too pricey to do every single day! I've never grown celery, BUT I have heard that if you plant the bottom part of the celery bunch, it will grow back. I have no idea if this is true, but I've been burying my food scraps, celery bunch bottoms included, into my garden (so there has to be at least 30 random celery bunches all over the place!). Maybe I'll have a bunch of little baby celery plants popping up in the spring?! (With that said, however, I haven't decided if I'm going to do the community garden next year - it was just so much work this season...but ask me again in a few months and I'm sure I'll be longing for it!) . Thanks so much for watching!

@@crazykenz4203 For real. Its so expensive. I think everyone is doing that juice down here in Memphis too. How is the downsizing going? Hope still going well? Yeah, two heads of organic celery everyday would make my wallet cry. I've also heard that about sitting it in a sunny window in water. I don't know if you'll get anything, but you might see a few baby stalks. Seems unlikely tho :( It can happen so I look forward to hearing if something pops up :D Have you thought maybe downsizing your garden to make it less work? Like pick a top five like say: tomatoes, flowers, cabbage, peppers, and cucumbers, then one extra to try(I have to do this because i container garden)? I loved seeing your garden videos. It made me jealous in the most positive way, I can only container garden until I get a tiller and amend my ground soil. I will def be back to ask you. Even in my little containers gardening becomes an addiction hah :D ps.. do you have any idea how much that juicer cost? I really want one.

Yes, I'm definitely thinking of simplifying the garden if I do it next year. I love trying the stranger things (loofah!), but don't always have the best luck with that stuff. I think if I stick with cabbage, kale, a variety of greens, radish, beans, tomatoes, flowers, and maybe some summer squash, that would be plenty. I've done beautiful French melons the last two seasons, but they always ripen while I'm away in the summer - and that's just wasted garden space. So we shall see. We are also talking about going to France for several weeks next summer, so if we decide to do that, I don't think I'll do a garden at all. As for the juicer, I'm checking with my mom and will get back to you! I had a Phillips centrifugal-style juicer when I lived in Korea and then the same model when I lived in France, but I don't believe they make that one for the American market, but it was soooooo good. I wish I could find one like that here! And it wasn't overly expensive, either! Will keep you posted if I try to grow my own celery in the window!

@@crazykenz4203 I really wish I had the space for things like Luffa I got some seeds for that years ago, and realized I would need the largest container. That sounds right up my list of stuff I grow. I really want to grow more Kale and greens this year, especially things like endive. I wish I could grow cabbage too, but id only be able to grow one per container and that's not efficient. Oh yeah i saw your garden tours and your stories about the French melons, that's really a bummer. Too bad no friend can go up there and pick them for you. Oh I always wanted to go to France it looks so nice. My old teacher always talked about loving France so much. I can understand not gardening at all if you go out of the country. Just won't beneficial to start anything. Curious tho, if you go to France will you still be doing the cleanse? I wonder if celery is more expensive there..hm I'd highly appreciate it. I'm also gonna do some searching on my own, but yours looked so dang good I had to ask. I'm really jealous of foreign product prices they usually cost a bit less there than in the states when I look up prices and accidentally come across them. I hope find one or another one that's similar nothing worse than living somewhere else and coming home and not having the same thing. Reminds me of when you find the best product and it breaks and its discontinued so you have to find the next "best" thing aka settling. Good luck with the celery. I hope you get something cool. :)

Oh gosh, celery juicing in France...well, hmmm. I would like to continue it there while on vacation. We usually stay with my husband's grandfather in Paris, but he doesn't have a juicer. I bought a juicer a few years ago while living in France that we left at his parents' vacation house, so I suppose if I were organized enough about it, I could have them bring the juicer back to Paris to leave at grandpa's house. There actually seem to be a lot of health-conscious stores in Paris these days and plenty of places for buying juice. So I guess if I had to, I could just buy celery juice there (but gosh, I reckon it would be like 10 euros a glass....eeek). Will have to see when that time comes around! And for sure if we move back to France for good, absolutely I would continue with the juicing (would probably ask for my old juicer back if the in-laws aren't using it!). I'll have to ask my mother-in-law to check on the price of organic celery there for me. The markets in France are really amazing and you can find stuff for pretty good prices, and the quality is just amazing. I imagine it would be fairly similar to what it is here.

Did your skin purge with breakouts at all during the first little bit of juicing?
@crazykenz4203
@crazykenz4203 3 года назад
I felt like my skin was ok for the first month or so, but by like three months in, I felt like my forehead was just constantly bumpy (and I never used to get blemished on my forehead). It seems like my skin is finally starting to calm down a bit (knock on wood, don't want to jinx myself!) at like 16 months in.
@caitm88

@@crazykenz4203 the exact same thing is happening with my forehead! I’m hoping it will calm down sooner than later!
@crazykenz4203
@crazykenz4203 3 года назад
It's soooo frustrating, I get it! It was probably really bad for like a year, but now it's kind of calming down. I also recently stopped eating cheese (I'm basically 99% plant-based now), and that has helped a lot. One thing I've noticed with celery juicing is that my body just freaks out when I eat something it doesn't like - it's soooo sensitive to so much stuff now! It's like I have given my body so much love with eating clean and doing all this stuff, so when I do something it hates, it lets me know to knock it off. Also, I have started using straight tea tree oil on my skin and that seems to be helping, too! And for a moisturizer, I just use argan oil mixed with a bit of CBD (supposed to be good for healing).
