I was on and off a dozen antidepressants for years but I think I learned it’s not the best treatment path for me. I have digestive issues/IBS so I’d always have a catch 22 where if the dose was too high I couldn’t handle the side effects but too low of a dose wouldn’t do anything. Doesn’t help that I have a mother who still keeps trying to push them onto me. But afte I discovered psilocybin it was the first thing I’ve ever had that actually gave me results for my mental health

That's awesome that you found something that helps you. Yeah psilocybin have shown great results for depression. My main plug for people to stay on medication is for people with disassociative disorders like psychosis, bipolar, and schizophrenia. So awesome you found what was best for you 😊. Thank you for sharing.

@@justbeinghayden9451 No problem! ❤️ I’ve been fortunate to not have to go through certain disorders like schizophrenia and stuff, but in those cases medication is obviously a lot more important to at least try out👍 I haven’t been able to find any mushrooms in about 6 months, and I admit my mood is a little more depressive recently but looking back i still feel a lot better than before I discovered them so that’s good in hindsight

@@questal25 yeah honestly wish I could do mushrooms because I know they are super powerful healers, but there is a chance I would have a psychotic break because of them 😕. Good luck on your search!

@@justbeinghayden9451 Yeah it’s probably better to be safe than sorry! If I remember right I might’ve had a psychosis/disassociation experience last summer when I smoked weed at the end of a trip and felt like I was still tripping the next day. It actually gave me some dmt-like visuals which freaked me out a bit but I was fine after two days. And thank you I appreciate it❤️ Sending good vibes to ya

Jackrabbit - just a note of caution if stating psilocybin helps you in that for others it can lead to psychosis which then can take people often 2 to 5 years to recover from if ever. Psilocybin increases dopamine like any other drug which can put people at risk of going into psychosis. Psychosis is extremely hard to recover from so if telling people it helped you always give some statement of caution as well. Psilocybin has also ruined many lives. It’s been around for 60+ years and has been studied extensively and found not to be a reliable medicine and then was scheduled as an illegal drug. Too many stars etc advocate it and then people think it’s safe when in realty it can cause so much damage- visual perceptual damage, neurological damage, trigger life long mental illnesses, and trigger psychosis.

Rispiridone is a good medication sadly not so good side effects for a woman 😅 i always feel weak if i need my meds, thats something i have to learn to get over and accept if im struggling i need to take some. Also bipolar here!

Yeah medication is tricky, some work for some and not for others. I'm lucky that risperdone works for me. Yeah it's not ideal to take meds, but it makes my life a little easier :)
