My (FAILING) MEPS Experience // Pt. 1

Hey, Kristin! I’m on my way to the hotel for MEPS in the morning. Just wanted say you and @PopularLoner really were major inspiration. Literally my recruiter said my duck walk was perfect because I watched y’all videosss! Thank you guys so much! 💚🇺🇸💪🏾

I went into a MEPS Virginia center in 2014 and drove there myself. Got to the part with the doctor to weigh me on a scale. Found out for my height I was underweight for miminum requirement of the Coast Guard. That was my branch I was disqualified from and the Navy was the only one that didn't have this which he told me about. I still was upset my time was wasted being there for 12 ish hours and I was sent home to make a decision with my recruiter. He was pretty ignorant and naive when I told him what happened he said he didn't know that weight would be a problem and never saw that before. Offered to take me out to free dinners and buy me peanut butter cakes...smh 😆 my metabolism was so high that I've always struggled to pack on the pounds. I'm 6'1, I was 138 and needed to be 144. Could have wrote a waiver but I get why weight is important especially when you have to pull people out of the ocean and save lives. Ended up going to another career choice and never looked back.

My son went to MEPS this week and he failed the duck walk, he is rescheduled to try again next week Thursday, he should of watched all these RU-vid videos before going didn't even think about it, but he passed all but the duck walk, he is flat footed so it's not as easy for him plus he is 6'4"

I go to meps next week and I got acne scars on my body, they're clearing up, but I wonder would I fail....😦

I went there yesterday, but didn't get in bc of my vision. I get a retry vision test next week. Pray for me guys l need this opportunity. Thanks.

For drugs if I used to take anti depressants (Prescription) 2 years ago should I even mention it at all I’m afraid this will DQ me and could they find that information . I’m in the process of getting a proof sheet from my doctor saying I haven’t needed them in some years now but idk if I even want to mention taking them period .

IF the mean guy was NOT from the Navy, thence he may have been from the National Guard. However I highly doubt he was not from the NAVY as the syllable to follow her tongue placement sounded as "ay". Rather than "ah" which occurs in my latter branch to guess.

Had a heart surgery at 5 weeks old waiting on a med read to go to MEPS but hope i get lucky.. Good thing is other than my surgery, my medical record is spotless so hopefully i have a chance.. Lol and i got a posession of weed ticket that i got.. MEPS gonna be interesting.. Fuck me haha
