His baritone voice mixing with rnb and jazz vibes is what makes V unique and the music itself really does pleasantly blessed our ears. Hope for more reaction!💜
As V is my bias, so glad to hear that you like his song, FYI , there are 7 members in BTS, 3 Rapper and 4 vocals. All members have released albums this year.😆
Unfortunately, Jin was able to release the single "The Astronaut" because of his impending military enlistment tho. Hope he will give as a whole album once he's done with his military service.
V's "Stigma" is one of my favorites. I am almost 70 and discovered the BTS rabbit hole about 3 yrs ago. Their music saved me during the pandemic. Before then, I didn't like rap and now it's my favorite genre. I connect with other seniors my age and older that love BTS hard core rap and the other genres. I heard about BTS about 8 yrs ago but dismissed them I am ashamed to say, because I thought they were just a pop boy band. I was so wrong and found out how narrow my mind was and my limiting beliefs. Since then, my world has gotten bigger, brighter and happier than ever before. They deserve all the love in the world. I was blown away by their talent individually and as a group. Their 'live" performances are insane. Some of the best videos to me are : RM "Joke", Agust D (Suga) "Agust D" and his trilogy "Daechwita", Haegeum", and "Amygdala"., also the energy of the crowd in BTS live Cypher Medley with Supreme Boi, and the video that I cried to when I first heard it " Outre: Tear live at Wembley" it was so emotional. They wrote this when they were thinking about breaking up the group and what they felt about it. JHope surprised us all with his videos "More" and "Arson" These are just the rap line. The other members also have mind blowing videos too, but way too many too list. When people laugh at me for loving BTS, I tell them that I am a girl that had Jimi Hendrix point to me at edge of the stage and sing "Foxy lady, I'm coming to getcha" and so I know good music when I hear it : )
I never thought that I could be an army, when first time heard BTS 2016 from my son I wasn't pay attention, I thought they were for teenagers kinda music, then summer 2019 I became an army and for good after read they BEAUTIFUL lyrics and gorgeous songs music and even got addicted to the rap lines which before rap is not my liking. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story. Borahae 💜💛❤
Similar for me. 51 year old ARMY from UK. My elder daughter tried to show me in 2019. I did not even listen, thinking they were a boy band, not my scene as a I am a rock and metal head. My younger daughter was listening to The Truth Untold, and V's voice captivated me.
This song is my wake up call, I float out of bed in the mornings, try it! Like you I am an older BTS fan, started going into the rabbit hole during covid. Am older as well and many don’t understand why these boys can give you so many happy moments
just for your information, bts are still together, the guys just decided to release solo stuff since they have to go to the military and can't perform together right now. some of the members are already there, the ones who are still here should go in the next few months. they've been releasing solo music pretty much from the beginning of their career tho (mostly the rappers) and it never was a problem to the group, they support each other
Estamos hablando de taehyung el es talentoso pata que no se olvixe nadien podria gacer cantar interptetarla como el esa cacion la escrbio Nam para Taehung
V dropped his solo album 'Layover' just before Jungkook's Golden album. The entire album is Lofi; Christmas is coming up so try his gift to Army 'Snowflower'.
Loving your BTS reactions! You would love V's live performance of his song 'Stigma' (just type in V Stigma Live while in RU-vid), also V's tiny desk performance of 3 songs from his recent Layover album. The timbre of his rich Baritone is like a velvet blanket but his falsetto & transition between the two is seemingly effortless. You will love V! You would probably also like one of BTS's Japanese language songs: "Film out," the live Music Blood version & the live version from 2016 of the BTS vocalists singing: 'House of Cards." Look forward to more BTS!. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I loved the date walk through you did imagining listening to this song. V's voice and choice of music really match the image you painted, I have a strong feeling you gonna love his debut EP (Layover)
Tae (V) is my ultimate bias because of his voice, his personality, talent, and visuals. I would highly recommend listening to ALL the songs from his "Layover" album. All lofi, all amazing songs. His OSTs like "Christmas tree", "sweet night" have similar vibes and are songs constantly playing on my spotify. Jungkook and JHope are also my biases, but they have completely different vibes. Please listen to Layover. Rainy Days Love me again Blue Slow dancing For Us. All of them have a MV
No BTS members did not separate but are very much still a group. Yes they have solo projects but they're returning back in 2025 once all members have done serving the military.
Taehyung aka V also likes that artist's music and the song that u showed at the beginning! Tae/V loves jazzy slow jams. He has that beautiful soothing velvety baritone soulful deep voice. But he can also belt high notes, which shows how wide his vocal range is. He is full of talent and talented in whatever he does. I hope u can check out his new album called 'Layover' All the songs in his album have MVs too just letting u know. Thanks for the reaction to one of my fav songs of his. ^^
So yeah, Layover V's album is a must..."Slow Dancing" is the main track. You'll love it. Also, as mentioned RM's tape Mono and album Indigo would be up your lane. RM has a song with Paul Blanco off Indigo called "Closer" you will probably love. All amazing stuff. Great reactions! Thanks :) (PS. BTS are still together ;)
V's vocals is so damn unique and it touches my soul! This song is my favorite of V's solos! This was written by BTS' leader RM, so the lyrics cemented this song as one of my top 20 BTS songs. BTW BTS' discography is very very large and varied
If you're interested in how actually deep and sad this song actually is, I recommend the breakdown video "BTS V Singularity Meaning Explained: Lyrics and MV Breakdown" by the channel Bookish Theories. An amazing breakdown and analysis of the song and it's just 6 minutes long.
If you like some chill vibes, the Mono mixtape from RM might hit for you. I really like Everythingoes, Moonchild, and Seoul in particular. And for more V, his whole Layover album is aVIBE. Recommend his tiny desk Korea performance for a good taste of his album live.
You can see behind the scenes/making of the video for pretty much all the videos by BTS/Hybe. Those are real people covered in black moving the white masks, and they've edited out the evidence of the people. They perform the same thing in concerts and you can see the people. but it's still a very cool effect. One of my favorite V songs. His album Layover is very similar to this chill R&B/jazzy vibe, you might also want to check out Stigma, and his Tiny Desk concert that just came out a couple months ago is really excellent.
So I am definitely a Tae/V bias. His stage presence and charisma stops people in their tracks. He is a rarity in KPop with his warm baritone voice. He has the widest vocal range of all BTS members. His solo songs and projects are a constant play for me. You will love Stigma his other R&B song with BTS. His recent album Layover is a no skip daily play for me. He became a formal member of the dance line with this song. His dancing is so smooth. You should check out his live stage mix performance. It’s so much better.
His voice is beyond amazing!! Always appreciate it. Stigma live to see his vocal range. It's amazing how a voice that low can go as high falsetto as his voice can go.
Kim Taehyung is one of the best vocalists of all time. He's also a writer, composer, and dancer. I saw him in person in Las Vegas and he's dam good looking.
My two favourite soloist from BTS enormous pool of talent is RM and V....and this solo pieces from their earlier days were just a small taste of their potential. Do give RM Indigo and V's Layover albums a listen...
Go to Tiny Desk Korea and V intimately sings 3 of his songs from his new album Layover. He is an old soul and cant get enough of R&B. There are clips of him driving in his car and singing to Bing Crosby, and other oldie singers. Nice reaction! And yes, Brian Puspos has worked with BTS in their trainee days and just finished the 5 months touring with Jungkook as he promotes Golden. All the dancers behind JK are well known choreographers and dancers!❤
btw BTS is still together, but are currently on break and are focusing on solo careers because they have to go to military. Three oldest members are currently in the military and the other four will go by the end of 2023. They're all gonna be back in 2025 officially!!
Thank you for your reaction to V! Just FYI, the members of BTS have always done solo songs on their albums and some solo mixtapes. They've also done some solo works and covers that they put out to ARMY (their fanbase) for free on various platforms. It's just recently is the first time they've actually each done solo albums that they've promoted individually. Three of the members are doing their mandatory military service right now. The other four will be going in soon. They have all signed contracts and plan to rejoin as a group in 2025. They are amazingly talented young men and are worth your time and attention. Thank you! 💜
Love your reaction,, I suggest also you watch the live version of singularity especially the Tokyo Dom concert,,also take your time to listen to all members so you can know your bias,,all the best in falling into the rabbit hole
I love all the BTS boys but V is my ultimate bias. They are super talented. 7 boys, 7 albums and 7 different styles. If you like more of the deep, touching your soul kind of vibe/songs then V, Suga and RM is on the top of my list. Otherwise they are all fantastic! They are all very strong artists individually but they are the strongest as a group! BTS IS THE REAL AVENGERS OF KPOP. THEY ARE THE REAL DEAL!
Dude, here's a grandma making comment on your content, Taehyung is a great Baritone singer, the best by far along with amazing Visuals, Versatility. You are so right to like him. All the best on your contents
This song is just too good! Nothing to say about, just that one song that give you goosebumps. I hope it will reach more people cause damn! masterpiece!
FYI V is also a big fan to Daniel Caesar!!! He has perfect jazz music taste and he always likes to share beautiful songs in his livestream (Daniel Caesar and Giveon etc.) I'm also a non-kpop fan but V just attracts me so much
He is indeed classified as a lyric baritone by true vocal experts. The quality of his voice fits the traits as one as, it's husky, deep, sometimes rough, warm, thick and soulful. Taehyung is actually 1 of the 4 baritones present in BTS, For a baritone in Kpop, I think V has one of the widest ranges as his exact vocal range is Eb2~C6 (3 octaves, 4 notes, and 1 semitone), as he pours emotion and soulfulness into his singing, I find his voice to be very unique, V’s voice will always be among the top tier, not even just part of BTS but every group or singer I’ve seen, V is just up there among the best, He has total control over his instrument.
Suggestion: Look for live performances whenever possible. It just hits differently. You'll like V's "Stigma." If you like rap and jazz... check out BTS' "Rain." It's rap and vocals over cool jazz. It's one of my favorites! 💜
Taehyung is a big fan of classic jazz and so is his style of singing, he doesn't need to give a lot of effort into singing, he has that perfect voice, and who makes you can't get tired of hearing him, I advise you to watch “Singularity” and ”Stigma”, you’ll fall in love with the voice of this man, You’ll be impressed by his unique style that it is impossible to find in any other singer, he is the icon of the year, I am sure that his new album will crush the global charts, he is one of the brightest singers in BTS
The "floating" masks aren't special effects--you can see the black-clad dancers when he does it live. Loved your slow ramble through the song, tangents and all--you are very entertaining. New subscriber.
Love your reaction and that you love it. One of my favourite V songs. Wish he could rerelease it as a single for himself rather than under the BTS umbrella cos HE makes this song! .
Non of the BTS members have “gone solo” They all just have Solo careers as well but are still in the group. They are all right now doing solo because they have to finish military service and will be back together again when they are all done their service.
V loves Daniel Caesar as well ….also interesting that you mention how the beat drop at the beginning reminds you of “Get you” …..you should listen to “for us” which is on his recent EP …the chorus also reminded me of that same song “get you” Tae is just perfection 🤌🏾
Great reaction! I hope you dive deep into BTS, you won't regret it. LOL for the feet, it's so much fun that in 2018 the only piece of leather they let us see was the ankles... or the forehead. Very different from today ahha.
Oh bums. I had started a comment and just lost it! I wanted to say how much I enjoy your reaction to this performance and to our V. You are thoughtful and immediate. I use the word 'immediate' in an almost psychological way - there is no filter between your experience and your expression of your feeling about it. You are also soulful and sensitive. I came to visit with you after watching your reaction to the magnificent Taylor Mari's Intro to BTS. I love sharing BTS with others and seeing them meet them for the first time so I tend to watch a lot of reactions, but sadly find many people seem to add little to the viewing experience with them. I am sometimes unsure how genuine they are or even if they are paying attention at all - sometimes I never go back to them. But you were another kettle of fish altogether. There is no doubt about your attention - you were looking at so much detail and sharing every observation with us. It has been a pleasure. I particularly like how you watch twice - I always have to watch two or three times to see/understand it all, because BTS work is always so deep, complex and layered. I'm 68 and increasingly deaf so I think I am unable to appreciate a lot of the musical complexities that others comment on, but BTS add so much else. I also notice how you were observing every detail and thinking about its place in the experience. I love that, because many in the west don;t go that deep. I do though. Because I know you are newish to Kpop, I'll share here the clearest definition of Kpop I've come across. It's marvellous, because Kpop is not one style or genre of music or dance, which can make it sound complicated. Many people (including me) tend to summarise it as well, it's just Korean pop music, which is true, but there's a bit more... "Suga, asked about whether Kpop would be an accurate definition of BTS' genre, said ‘I’m a little bit wary of that but I think rather than approach Kpop as a genre, a better approach would be “integrated content”.’ ‘Kpop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach Kpop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better.’ Metro 28 10 2019" I like this way of looking at the phenomenon because it encompasses everything that Kpop is and could be and allows it to be the many-headed beast it is without judgement or fear or .... confusion!. One more thing .... the masks in this choreography are not added in post. They (and the dancers working with them) are included in every stage performance, and they are always precise and perfect like this. I love the BTS dancers, always excellent and great with each other and the members too. Hobi never calls them 'backing dancers' because they are not additional, but intrinsic to the performance. I agree. Somewhere on You Tube there is an edit of stage performances of this number, with V wearing different costumes, and each performance is inch perfect... Found it, though I'm not sure if this is the one I had in mind! Still - Enjoy - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4KHcJbpJhvI.html
Didn't expect such a burst of energy? See and listen to his album LAYOVER, you will be amazed, believe me. I love all the members but V is my favorite!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is pure Taehyung (V). Do yourself a favor and listen to Layover, his solo album. All this same vibe. It's a piece of art in my opinion. BTS will be back in 2025, after their military service. Can't wait to see what they show us then.
