Because they are true professionals They focused on the musical cue and the rest flowed perfectly from there

Thanks Robert. I was about to correct the same thing. Cartwheels, done correctly, are tough atany age, but JEEZ, Gwen Verdon and Chita Rivera had to do it night after night in their 40's or50's. Great Gals!

Practice, lots of practice. They did it eight times a week, twice a day on matinee days.

There is no professionals training with Renée Zellweger who I love or Catherine zeta Jones great actresses, not Broadway dancers. No one is like Bebe Neuwirth, or the late and wrangling.

They did a great job too, the problem is the more bland choreography they had for this scene, what made it fun to watch was more how it was filmed rather than the dance, they sang really well though.

Watch this clip, then go watch the clip with Catherine Zeta Jones and Renee Zellweger. See if you can tell which two are professional stage dancers and which two are film actors trying to pretend they have dance training...

Catherine has musical theater background. Renée was more of a neophyte in musicals when they were filming the adaptations, which was actually apt for the role since Roxie had no experience in performing at all. No need to compare them, they all did well respectively
