This movie is absolutely beautiful. It's near perfection, if not perfection. It celebrates movies and film making. The ending breaks me down to the very core.
Alfredo!!!! love it soo sooo much. friendship, coming of age, first love, nostalgia, just everything! its a masterpiece. first saw it when i was around 12ish. im 34 and its still one of my favourites.
I cried watching this as well. I’m a sucker for a love story, especially when the relationship doesn’t work out the way they dreamed it would. Such a phenomenal film. Definitely opened my eye up to more foreign films.
For me, Cinema Paradiso is best example of telling a story in the simple but a beautiful way. Genuine, authentic but not pretentious. And audience can feel that. Because it is a piece of art made of passion and love.
Somehow I never saw this movie, until now. Absolute masterpiece! Had to watch the directors cut the day after. It's 3 hours but brings some more context to the movie.
I recently saw this and controversial take apparently the director cut isn’t the better version that like basically hour cut was definitely cut for a good reason the romance meeting after the funeral stuff just hurts the father figure son story which it works better as over a romance
Well done. I don't like Americans very much but this was like it was delivered by a human being. It seems you are not all empty inside. I really though Americans feel nothing. Just explosions and child abuse but it seems we have hope as some of you feel human emotions.
@@MUSHROOMRAT750 - This doesn't even make any logical sense. How can I be projecting? If I loved explosions and worshipped violence like America does I wouldn't be criticising it, would I? American culture is famous for being shallow. Also, I'm not the one who murdered a million innocent Iraqis to steal that nation's oil or constantly wage war around the world for profit without any care for the millions of innocent lives destroyed in the process. Perhaps you should think about how much America brainwashed you by making you pledge to a flag and constantly bombarded you with nationalist propaganda and be a little more objective in your assessment of America.
