I’m pretty sure she had backups. It’s pretty obvious she had her heart set on going to Harvard. She was pretty frustrated that after all her hard work she didn’t get in
OMG me toooo!! You read my mind! I started to rewatch and she was so cute eating frozen pizza for the first time and to hell w it and ate it w her hands lololol
@Randy White season 2 episode 10 "The Bracebridge Dinner" is one of my favorites but overall I like season 6 the best. All the episodes are good in the show, though.
I've literally always hated the way the whole town wrote Jess off because he had adult problems while he was still a kid. He was perfect for Rory and underneath the bravado and the tough guy act, truly had a heart of gold. I wish he'd been given the chance he deserved.
Same here. And he was the one who convinced Rory to finally go back to Yale, but never really got credited for it. I'm glad he was in the Revival though.
Absolutely! Also hate what they did with Lorelei and Luke. They ruined the show completely in the seventh season. Starting in the end of the six season.
@@theadventuresofbrooklynrose i can kinda agree with that, but i don’t know if tristan got to know rory enough to properly love her, i think he liked her a lot, just went around asking her out in a way that he would’ve known wouldn’t work if he knew rory well
I had an argument with my friends missus because i always said Tristan deserved a cahnce id love an episode where they went on a date even if it ended badly they couldve at least been friends
@@lauriecarson6483 if you've seen Gilmore Girls Season whatever there's a scene where Dave confronted Mrs. Kim because he really wanted to take Lane to prom. My point is, I want a brave man like Dave especially when you live with parents like Mrs. Kim. (Btw, my parents knows their limit when becoming strict soooo they're not like Mrs. Kim. I love them so much)
Rewatching Gilmore Girls at 32 now. Didn't quite get into it when it first aired in 2000 and the years that followed, but it's so comforting. Can't wait to catch up!
I sometimes feel like I'm living in some weird time warp because I could have sworn this show was from the early 90s and not from 2000- 07 ...Even watching these clips I'm getting major mid 90s vibes. When she runs out of the store. There's a 1985 toyota supra and a blue mid 90s Mazda Miata, that looks brand new.
the way no other seires EVER has got me sobbing like GG did. This show has such a special place in my heart. The first time i watched it was with my aunt in her bed. This just brings out the little kid in me so much.
I loved the episode where lane got married and just after her Buddhist wedding her grandmother left and mrs kim lifts her skirt and yells at everyone to move to the next venue for Christian wedding 😂 that was just hilarious the way she ran 🤣🤣
I love how, when Emily is doing her merry little dance onstage at the fashion show, Lorelai starts to awkwardly do her own lame Frankenstein-style "dance" because she's so embarrassed.
That very last scene with Emily and Richard is one of the relatively few times where I genuinely empathize and relate to Emily, it’s just heartbreaking and somehow sweet and it always makes me tear up
well gay men can have a more feminine taste, so he's clarifying that even though he's fully straight he loves the show. nothing offensive imo@@opybrook7766
Lane and Zach was so out of blue. It really threw me for a loop. He's just so...dumb. They just threw Lane together with the closest male character in proximity to her and ran with it regardless of whether or not it made sense.
@@reneeelizabeth9473 literally I feel like even her & the other guy in the band (the one with the glasses) would’ve made more sense than her & Zach. Her & him having twins just unfortunately made it worse it was like they didn’t even care for Lane’s storyline & character anymore. They also literally had no chemistry
@@reneeelizabeth9473 Zach is a himbo, and I don't mind his relationship with Lane but it feels so shallow compared to what Lane and Dave had, and the fact that they didn't even give them a proper break up etc was truly the worst part
Im 34 and just went through a double mastectomy with reconstruction. I rewatched the whole show during my healing time. It was so comforting and I think I liked it even better the second time around.
I have watched Gilmour Girls over the years but I have just binge-watched the 7 seasons and the a Year in the Life. I think when I watched A Year the first time round I did not appreciate it. But this time I cried buckets. Especially Emily who seems so at peace in Nantucket. Love every season and episode with a passion
The best scene is when lane goes to Yale and lorelai calls Mrs Kim and there's a candlelit vigil going on in the living room and the fire dept is there to look for her 😂😂😂😂
I love that one of Emily and Lorelai doing the fashion show. You can tell numerous times throughout the seasons of the show that Emily does want to have a similar relationship with Lorelai as Lorelai has with Rory.
I started watching this at 45 n I absolutely love Rory and her mom relationship getting addicted to watching this , while having Covid, 2epiisodes a day😮🎉❤totally great sitcom
Dean was a such a tool omg. Jess wasn't great while he and Rory were dating, but after he grew up and came back I liked him for Rory way more than Logan.
Didn’t watch it when it originally aired, but I literally can’t count how many times I’ve watched this show…🥰🥰 One of my absolute favorite shows, I’ll never get tired of it.
"Because I love you, you idiot!" Second best moment- right next to Luke pushing Jess into the lake. Though I will note Jess turning the water BACK on for Dean to be "her hero" was amazing- and I commend Alexis for the scene, wet tights feel sooooo awful and weird. The MOST REAL moment was Emily making Richard promise "You may go first". That moment was so so real and so heart-breaking, especially given that he did (actor and character) go first. That had me almost in tears the first time- in hindsight I've cried every time I've rewatched the series.
Rewatching all the episodes and the year in the life for the fifth time and I’m only 13 I absolutely love this show and I love like Danes and Jess and I wish they had more episodes but definitely check out I am all in by Scott Patterson it really captures the Luke essence
I love the scenes 14:52 and 16:00 so much but they will never not be painful to watch purely because of the two books that happened to be in Jess' pockets when he got soaked
I enjoyed the whole series so much. But the way Lorelai, Rory and Sookie would waste food and dump things all the time just really bothered me every damn time. I know it’s a show but my heart cant take that level of over ordering and dumping food all the time. Apart from that, what a fun watch!
I know this wasnt in it but one of my fav scenes is when Luke knowns she sleeped with Chris and silently goes and punxhs him not saying a word and leaving
Hart of Dixie & Gilmore Girls comparison Zoe - Lorelai (main character/ terrible love choices) Wade - Luke (owns a restaurant/bar; pines for THE girl for years) Rose - Rory (aspiring journalist) Federick - Dean (shy athlete/dreamy) Dr. Brick - Richard Gilmore (owns a practice/entrepreneur) Grandma Breeland - Grandma Trix Gilmore (married to money;boujie; feared of) Candace Hart - Emily (opinionated mother) A.B - Sookie - knows how to cook; catering business Lemon - Paris (perfectionist) George - Christopher (born to money but both forged a different path; both have fathers who want them to take over their company Dash - Taylor (deep appreciation of the town) Tom Long - Kirk (literally the comedians of the show; also wears many hats throughout the show *figatively*) Wanda - Lulu Delma - Patti (town gossip) Shula - Babette (town gossip) Magnolia - Lindsey (Dean’s ex wife)
