Corlys is an underrated character IMO

Eve and Steve are that couple. I love them as Rhaenys and Corlis. Daemon didn't choke Laena. She had him reading in the library and doing stupid pet tricks and kissing her belly. I really think he genuinely loved Laena. But, he wants to possess Rhaenyra. He is so interesting.

Yes we needed more Laena. I think Meemaw Vhagar got fucked up having to assist her rider to die. We know the dragons feel pain akin to their bonded riders. That's why Meemaw got so hungry and cranky by Episode 10.

I'm with you! I swear to protect our Grace Rheanyra, the QUEEN! All of her secrets etc etc. About Rhaenys being called Queen who never was: remember in ep 1 when Baratheon asked for her favor and called her that. And Otto said to Viserys that he could have Baratheons tongue for that. And Rhaenys and Corlys are just smiling at eachother with raised eyebrows. She is called that by her supporters. Those who wanted her as a Queen. It is a real slap inte the face towards Viserys and the great council. And therefor, I love it.

I just wish they didn't kill Laena off that quick. I believe she would have served if they gave her more to do.

Definitely agree with you on the faves of the show. And I love how patty gave an interview and basically said what it was. He loved his wife, he was calling to her at the end (he said he improvised that I believe) Rhae was his only kid. Like he ain’t really fk with Alicent and them rugrats. I definitely agree with you when it comes to Rhaenys and some future lines. One of my fave lines Olenna said was “let the grown women speak” it was apart of some other pieces of dialogue I can’t think of off the top of my head but I love how she would shut shit down and I KNOW Rhaenys can do the same. “And THAT is the order of things!” 😏🗣🗣

teamdaemon because he is the only one who knows that the hightowers have been the problem from the beginning he told his brother I will take care of anyone but his brother I never trust him and there is the result that is what I like about daemon's character because that he can be good or bad with anyone but the only thing that matters to him is his family and he does everything possible to protect them

@Adrian Avatar I recently started rewatching HOTD with my mom. Wow after seeing the whole season episode one was actually so sad to me. Proves that I can watch it over again and find more meaning each time. Wow!!

My favs are Rhaenyra and Daemon for all the same reason.

I love daemon. He is who he is truly. He loves his family and hates his enemies. Say what you want but having him in your corner is a benefit. And I love rhayneys she just gets it. She sees shit for what it really is and I love her and corlys dynamic

Daemon is all about control and actions. He reacts to his emotions and what is needed to be done. His decisions are narcissistic, but that is part of what makes up his personality. He is the type that will die doing what he felt is necessary. Rhaenys is a very strong and logical type of personality. Corlys is all about power and the sea (SeaSnake). Leaving his wife and family to pursue his power 'struggles' is sloppy. Corly's power and wealth were due to his winnings and accomplishments. He is excellent at what he knows; his wife Rhaenys is very strong and level-headed (she holds the family together with respect and stands by her husband; even though it is very stressful). Love how they allowed her character to be strong. Paddy Considine's character as King Viserys was sensational and very strong. He deserves a special honor (award); love him.

I don’t like or dislike any of the characters that strongly… Rhaenyra was that girl but felt like a different character post time jump. Book Rhaenys was a much better character imo. Never have seen it for Daemon… I am fond of Viserys but, he’s still raggedy for the first couple of episodes. And Alicent (really the actress) lowkey eats.

This ! While I was kinda irritated with the decisions viserys was making I still loved him as a character. He was the king that they needed but didn't deserve. He was a good person, it was just in the wrong place.and paddy acted his ass off

It's just that everyone in Team Green is very dysfunctional in a highly entertaining bluth-roy sort of way, whereas Rhaenyra married her cop uncle who got kicked off the force, and now she's a boy mom. I'm not saying I'm taking sides but I'm saying that one ofnthese things is more enjoyable to watch and post about than the other.

Most of the online fandom have either read the books or are aware of what happens, so our minds are already made up from future events. But just from S1 alone Rhaenyra is clearly portrayed as the "better person" compared to "SAing Aegon". So did they manage to plant subtle signs who Rhaenyra truly is? Yup even in S1 there's subtexts : Watch Ep 3 & 4 & drink everytime Rhaenyra gets insecure af about losing her station. Like she literally runs away from her 2 year old brother's birthday to guilt trip her dad. Is that not a sign of power thirst? It's hella cliche but yes I would prefer power being thrust on someone reluctant to take it than someone actively lusting for it. Watch how manipulative she is when she turns any question about her transgressions into "questioning the virtue of the princess is an act of treason". This behavior carries on from Ep 4 into adulthood at Driftmark. It is the behavior of someone who becomes ruthless the moment they are criticized (a hint to what her response is going to be when people question her tax policies). Watch how (unintentionally) cold and uncaring Rhaenyra often is to the plight of her so-called best friend, like when she talks about "being trapped in a castle and pumping out heirs". It shows a level of out-of-touch entitlement created by the fact that you can just run to Daddy to solve all problems. This is a show-only subtext, but watch how uncaring Rhaenyra is when Daemon calls Alicent all types of wh0res whereas Show Alicent is apalled by Criston calling Rhaenyra a spoiled c-word. It's these little things about their personalities that say a lot. *But the most important subtext is when Rhaenyra watches the play at Fleabottom : their wants are of no consequence. Mysaria : there is no power but what the people allow you to take.* Anyone who knows where Rhaenyra's journey truly hits a roadblock will understand the sweet irony of that statement. Way to plant a seed!

Rhys Ifans stole every single scene he's been in. He was GOATING in everything. The calm, collected sinister presence he has is some next level shit. The fact the audience hates him so much means he's doing his job to a tee. But a part of me feels like if there was no black vs green divide, Otto would be as beloved as someone like a Tywin. The Alicent "where is duty scene" had more relatability and pain in it than any scene from any Team Black members. Speaking of which, Daemon is superficial MCU antihero cringe brainrot. And Rhaenrya is a dull boy mom. Suburbia core.
