Samuel Stoner yeah it’s pretty cool to be able capture that footage only really made possible by the cameras and certain daylight conditions

It's a vapor trail, caused by the rapid separation and re colition of air and moisture molecules as the projectile passes through the atmosphere. Bullet construction has allot to do with it too. My Sierra match kings (a fatter and shorter bullet) trail quite a bit at range. But my burger vld hunter ( very low drag, long and sleek) , a boat trail hollow point, do not.

It compresses the atmosphere at the front of the round & pulls it apart at the rear. It's called rareafication.

Im not sure about the barrel life for a 6.5..my WSM has had close to 2000rds down range and is still holding sub MOA. No I wouldn't consider a 6.5 instead of my 308, as I know the ballistic performance of my 308 like the back of my hand and it always delivers...the old saying "if it ain't broke then dont fix it"

@@rogeeproductions2509 Allways appreciate your valued comments, What would be the max distance you would take a shot at an animal with your 308 and if you were buying a rifle as a newbie, would the 6.5 Creedmoor then be of interest if you didn't have a rifle and were looking to buy something you could use for target shooting and hunting. I'm just being told that a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel life is only 900 to 1000 rounds through it, but I'm not convinced that's true!!

@@Elfin4 600m max for the 308 and if your plan was to shoot PRC and hunt then the 6.5 appears to be peoples choice to do that. I dont have much experience with the 6.5 so id take that all with a grain of salt🤔😉😁👍

Do you have any suggestions for an affordable scope? I had a Leopold, but after 5x power I got tunnel vision. I really do love Simmons scopes. I would like something with at least a 50 objective.
