That Media Pass is a godsend, I just made my own using your template and cruised through every airport, no questions asked, at a massive discount. my bag fees with Delta went from $650, down to $220! Thanks for making it available!
I know why you are getting clicks on the RWG II. I've had the same problem. You are using a mic that has a locking connection for something like a Sennheiser mic. The locking collar is creating too much space between the mic and the mic port. Try using a mic that plugs directly in, like the Rode go mic. This should fix your problem. I too struggled with this for months before figuring it out.
I’m a partial convert to tamron as well. Check out the new tamron 35 - 150 f2-2.8. I have consolidated my travel kit down to just a Sony 16-35 gmaster and tamron 35-150 Tmaster, replacing both midrange and tele zooms.
I’ve noticed some issues with the Rode mics as well. Now I’m curious if our system is defunct even though we’ve only been using if for a short period of time.
Production sound mixer here. The Sennheiser G3 is still a pretty decent piece of prosumer kit. You're getting that hiss due to competing radio frequencies. Do a scan at every new location you go to to find a free channel. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O4k_j-0H5Js.html Also, pro tip for Sennheiser, you want to make sure your gear is in the "A" or "G" band. If it's "B", dump it. Most of those frequencies have been sold to cell phone companies and the interference will only get worse
So far, the ProLight bags I've never heard of before 😐 And the Keys USB charger also I've never heard of and added it to my WishList now. My RavPower just does normal USB devices and it works great for it's capability, but the Keys beats the hell out of needing to carry another charger. Thanks guys.
Great video. I’m with you on the 180 degree rule. That’s one rule to break. For light, easy to use back up of audio, I highly recommend the Sony TX660. If you needed better lighting, I also highly recommend the Aputure 60x. There is a small, cheap soft box you can get if the mini Dome is too big.
You can break all rules, but the more rules you break, your footage will be more beginner and amateur looking. Even people who use 180 rule are doing it wrong, it's meant for the 24/25p only, doing it for other framerates is exactly the same as not using NDs at all :) That said, it's not about blindly following the rules, it's about understanding why that rule exists in the first place, and it exists to give your film natural movement/motion blur, so as soon as you break it, you get gopro/iphone feel in your films, and that's very obvious, given you want your image to look as "expensive" as possible. You will not see high production films breaking that rule because they were lazy, and that's true for any kind of "half assing" in filmmaking, it's the differentiator between higher and lower end fimmaking.
Hi! I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to. Partly because my lack of experience in the professional camera realm and partly because of the lack of information out there. I want to buy a Lumix S5 and I also need a lens for it. I want to film super wide angle at 4k60 ( so the image will be cropped ) and I am looking for a lens that will give me roughly the same image as an iPhone 11/12/13 on the ultra wide camera in video mode ( iPhone crops in ultra wide video mode ) and from what I understand the focal length of the ultra wide on the iPhone is 13mm ( in photo mode ). What lens should I buy for the S5 ( preferably prime ) for this effect aka iPhone ultra wide video mode ( 13mm cropped ). Thanks 😐
Man I shoot Sony Lenses....but a 14mm Lumix mount lens sounds good. Not sure about their products...but a 14mm is plenty wide on a full frame mirrorless....tight spaces...big buildings...city shoots...history stuff.
Dope video dude, cheers, some good ideas too. One thing, you rely on Sony cams, why don't you try the Sony XM4 headset? I think they are even better than Bose, but if you're fine with the latter ok 👍
