That was kinda sad to watch in the end, like watching a nature documentary where the apex predator you were following eventually succumbs to pressures from tiny predators and being too big to support its weight.
28:51 I have never heard anything like that in all of my time playing the Isle. Up until this moment, my opinion of Dilo was "they're not that scary, just because they can see a few feet further at night"
Late to this reply but nah man. A few updates back my pack of 3 dilos slautered a rex family in the dark. 2 adults, 2 subs, and like 3 juvis. Dilos are terrifying at night.
@@lordcy9615 oh absolutely. Once i found out that it wasn't actually "a few feet" as i had once thought, my gf and i duo-Dilo'd for a while and harassed sub and adult apexes. Hell evena Camara can see further than an apex in darkness.
It's way too OP, I played as a dilo with another friend, and we killed two sub trikes who were almost adults very easily.... sadly, I don't like dilos.
That was like a prehistoric documentary! I loved it. Getting attached to the main character as they progress through different encounters, and eventually loosing their final fight :’) Not boring at all, I watched this while I did homework, the part where you were traveling to twins was good background audio to studying xD The surrounding ambiance and rhythmic rex stomping was really nice Lol Also I like how your voice is very chill and not too high-energy ALL the time like other youtubers And omg I didn’t know dilo ankles were so stronk One of my favorite videos of yours, keep it up!
I legitimately full on ambush sprinted off of a sheer cliff a lot taller than a rex (up in the hills near Fields river? it looked glitchy, like it shouldn't exist, or should have some sort of rock facade on it) as a dilo and O N L Y broke my leg, not even full damage. I'm convinced the hatred in their veins makes them immune to hills. I have a screenshot of it, I'm going to print it on canvas, a monument to hubris.
Never heard of this game and I don’t even have a PC, but this shit is so intriguing to me. I have always loved dinosaurs. Just got a new sub from me for sure.
Fatalis -Sama if youre that intrigued, you might want to go buy it now before it raises in cost- theres about to be a huge update called the “recode” i recommend looking at videos about the recode before buying it,though.
I love this video, nothing bad to say about it at all, that being said.. I don't think those dilos deciding they get to hunt you forever should be a thing. Even if it where real and wild, they wouldn't hunt that rex and lose almost their entire pack like that. Its a survival game, killing off your entire pack to one rex, is the opposite of surviving. How is it fair for players who spent an hour or two growing a dino, to make the decision that they get to hunt a player (infinity) who spent 6 hours growing a dino, simply because it takes less time to grow a dilo. ("I'm going to hunt the rex until it myself and everyone else dies because I can grow another adult dilo in no time.") Just my opinion, but after half their pack is gone, they shouldn't have been aloud to hunt you infinitely like that. I guess there just isnt enough punishment for easy to grow dinos, because death means nothing to them.
Yea. That being said this server isn't realism, it's survival. But yea, they shouldn't keep hunting him even though there is practically just as much food scattered around as their dead packmates.
Andrew Kahn they don’t care, each one lost less time then the rex, they just want to ruin people’s day. That’s why I don’t play the isle anymore, the player base is sooo annoying and rude. I miss the old days of the isle
@@tzutari Estelle is referencing the end of the video, where Sticky is hoping a dilo breaks its leg. They rarely break from falls, he's screwing himself over much more than the dilos and he does actually end up breaking his own leg which is further evidence lmao
Much more enjoyable if you dont lose the hunt instantly when 1 grpmate dies. And there are dinos constantly dying so the food gone there isnt big deal.
Yeah, really sucked from my view as well... Sticky clearly bested them killing more than 50% of the pack. If I was a member of it, I'd not only stick to the bodies and eat one or two, but also accept the loss instead of stalking him for 20 minutes menacingly knowing that I clearly got bested as a pack member.
Daaaam sticky. U got the memory of a 90year old, how the hell u explain how u lose ur ambush when u go to character screen and then end up falling for it 3 times after explaining it to everyone watching
This really confuses me!! I thought that fighting ends once there is a body down? Or is it that if YOU are the hunter and kill 1 out of a pack it ends, but if you're by yourself and get hunted by a pack the fighting only ends when either you're dead or their whole pack is dead?
Yea. Kinda weird. If YOU'RE the one hunting them you can only kill one, and they could challenge I think. But if they hunt you, they can hunt you till you die or they give up/pack dies. Leads to some fights about who was hunting who and such. In my opinion the hunt should stop is 50% or more of their pack dies. Because at that point there's a ton of food laying around.
In my limited experience with the game, I've mainly been eaten by Rex's and Allos. I don't like KOS in games and especially if I'm not hungry in this game, but I'll kill a Rex or Allo if the opportunity presents.
Ohhh, I was online during this! I recognize the chat and I got out of there quick the moment I heard Dilos haha Good for them, they played so well with their abilities despite soo many dying haha
I hope in the update you won't be able to spam bites to deny people running through you. When people exploit things in this game it feels more like Call of Duty and less like a simulator. If they made it to where you can't run through others, that would be cool to. Animals latch on to their kill or slash, or bump/ram in the real world. That would be dope
The body you took from the allos I think was a juvi giga a little hard to tell but if I am right then it lasted so long because juvis give broken amounts of food. Maybe I’m wrong though
Because if youre hunting 2 dinos and 1 dies you have to eat that body. The other rex stopped because it contesed the body (3 called) and sticky gave up the body (4 called).
I see u cant alt turn on this server, is other things they change on private servers on the mechanics of the game? I wonder is there others changes on private server i dont know, maybe even changing life, damage, stamina regen, hunger, etc.
This was painful to watch. His bleed would have been healed if he didn't keep sitting down and give them free bites for some pointless amount of stamina. Every time I was like "Why? Your stamina doesn't matter now. Healing your bleed is the only important thing."
XD that reminds me when i was newbie...didnot knew how to get food properly for an apex..near rocky river there was a juvie trike and i was full rex too..i didnot killed him XD and i died from starvation...it was my second rex as i grew first one that died to mountain...so ya well xD Babys are cute
without alt turn, better turn rate dinos are better. so all these apexes with crappy turn rate is worst than utah, dilo etc. alt turn should be kept but maybe turn a little slower not as fast as it is now. having an animation.for it would be nicer too
I’m still not sure, u are an adult Rex and why wanna climb up the mountain? I guess it’s not a good choice, it could lead to our leg breaking. Rex VS Utah or Dilo, the best opportunity is using control + running, or Turning left in circles and trying to vary different speeds, then they could make mistakes.
I'm just glad Dilos won't be in Evrima. Not at the starting phase at least, and when they get in, i truly hope they will get their deserved nerf. They are insanely overpowered. They are squishy you say? Yea with stupid hitbox when their tail doesn't matter, also againts low-mid tier dinos, they do have some health. They are too fast, having too much stamina, turns too fast and most importantly killing everything with even one bite. Does its true? With 50 bleed, it is. One bite and you have to stay in the fight, because you are probably slower than them, and if you run bleed will deal much more damage. If you heal ur bleed you get bitten again, and the bleed won't stop. In the current build there were no perfect counter againts them. Utah? Heals too slow and deals low damage againts them, 1-2 bite and they can kite you with bleed. Maia? Turns too slow. Everything would be perfect if dilos won't assride you to death. Acro? Too big and not enough stamina. Trees are your enemies. Cerato? Too slow. Turns great, but has bad bleed resist. Other dilo? Probably. Apexes? No. Maybe i overreacting? Most possible. Am i raging over them? Unfortunately, yes. I just hope Apexes will be able to tailswipe at least to fend off assriders in Evrima.
Bruh Utahraptor absolutely destroys Dilo. Utah is literally faster, has a stronger bite, and has the better turn and agility. Most every carnivore in the game has a faster ambush than Dilo speed, even a Giga does. Also in Evrima, Dilo is expected to come back with a venom game play mechanic instead of bleed.
@@BallinGaming Giga faster than Dilo? Oh yea that's probably againts dilos who doesn't use run, Dilos base speed is 38,9km/h. Giga's AMBUSH speed is roughly the same, Dilo can enter ambush insanely fast and is way more speedy than the slumbering giga. On that note you are right about Utah destroying dilos. but they need to bite 7-8 times the dilo, dilo only needs one bite, than run into trees, hf running after a thing while u have 12 bleed from one bite.
I think Dilos should honestly be limited to smaller number packs. That or a rule so they must accept a 4th call if the one they're hunting has killed half of their pack. Otherwise the enjoyment leaves. I'm yet to find a server with decent rules. Had one absolute jerk 3 call me 3 time but they purposely did it from afar, behind my back knowing there was several others all around and I was distracted hunting an ai. So this same dino on the last 3 call runs behind me and as I'm turning kills me. The same dino who's nest I FULLY filled and was hunting the ai in the first place to fill up from. She didn't need the food either. 😒 rule was 3 call get attacked but not that you had to actually effing know that they did so. R.i.p my fully grown gig to a boring shit. Then to have someone else say not their problem in chat for acting that way. I didn't have a go at them just called it a boring way to die. Hate that server :') admins are just as brutal in how they speak to you.
“Yah I’m hungry, but I’m not gonna kill the juvi Sucho cause I’m nice, and if it comes down to it I just abuse admin powers and heal my self off screen :DDDD”
Actually, it makes sense that the more that die, the angrier the living ones would get and keep pursuing. Dinos weren't the "stupid reptiles" they were long portrayed as. It's entirely possible an animal could want revenge for a family or pack member death...in addition to a snack.
