I saw the Stones 1995 Brixton Academy gig in London and Faraway Eyes was on the set list. Of the many highlights from this show, Ronny playing the steel guitar was a true gem 💎. And, oh yes, he did take it seriously, completely focused. A moment I will never forget.

His bass work on “Dance (Pt. 1)” is also amazing. The live version the band has on their channel is so damn good.

His pulsy sound on Shattered, riff on Hey Negrita, pedal steel outro on She's So Cold... it's the little things that make Ron so special in the band.

In my opinion, the solo on "you can't always get what you want" on the double album "love you live" in 1977 is really great !

What a career Woody has enjoyed. Imagine creating the riffs for Stay With Me, Maggie May, Pool Hall Richard, and countless others and you cannot play them during your “day job.” Woody is great. I love Mick Taylor and Ronnie!

You are indeed my favorite Rolling Stones reactor. Very objective with a personal opinion. Keep up the great work. My first Stones concert was in Philly in 1989 when everyone thought they were old. So i told everone that ive liked the Stones since they were old. Lol. By the way, the concert was awesome. The last time i saw them was the Bigger Bang tour, also great. I have a feeling the new alblum will be one of their best ever. They put alot of time and effort into this one.See you at the concert next year. You are the man from the swreet old country that we all come from.

I remember hearing that in 1982 European tour Ronnie slipped on a frankfurter IN Frankfort Germany on stage!

Maybe you could take a look at Ronnie's solo work sometime. The album 1,2,3,4 has some nice tracks like Fountain of Love and Down to the Ground. I think he has a great voice.

1964-1977 were the stones peak years. Your a little mistaken about Ron Wood because if he is/was that good. Why did they need technical stage support ( session guitarist) for him backstage. In some of the first gigs you can actually see him knocking around backstage playing the tricky bits while Ron has his back to the stage. Mike Taylor was responsible for all the biting lead on all their all the best albums 64-77. He left 1/2 way thru It’s Only Rock & Roll & that album was not notable in anyway. They hired a 2nd rate guitarist because of their egos. Roy Buchanan a screaming virtuoso was available & showed interest. But that was the last thing Kieth Richards wanted. An alternate point of view from some one who knew their housekeeper very well in London in 1977.

LOL.. get that session guitarist BS out of here. There was/is no session guitarists anywhere on stage. Mike Taylor was never on any albums.

They should have let Bill play keyboards and synth, let Bill, Woody and Keith trade off on bass, and brought back Mick taylor on lead guitar.

More likely it was a tech tuning guitars for the next song....I have been watching live videos for decades of 75 76 and yes it's Ron playing live....in spite of unwanted physical contact of Jagger during many of his solos
