Ronnie Wood is so cool. Faces, Stones, and his first solo album "I've Got My Own Album to Do" is probably one of my favorite albums of all time.

“He plays everything dead in the middle, where he knows he can land everything.” This is not only a great way to approach your live playing attitude, but also how you approach the way you live in many real world situations. Eric Haugen is a one of a kind teacher! Thank you

Great Ronnie feature. Ronnie also played in Open E a lot, not just for slide. He got into Open E after hearing Duane Allman on Aretha Franklin's version of "The Weight". Perfect guitar choice, since he has a 54 Strat that he's used throughout his career, when not using Zemaitis guitars.

Funny, I was driving around this morning and thought of Ronnie Lane’s ‘flags and banners’, and what a great songwriter and diamond geezer he was…then you put this up -Debris is my favourite track on the album. Thank you! Reminds me a bit of XTC’s bass player, Colin Moulding in as much as they were 2nd in the pecking order of writers in their bands, but wrote some beautiful songs.

Ronnie Lane isn't Ron Wood. 2 different musicians. Though I think I heard even Eric say Lane @ 1:04. 😅
@andrewhibben8327
@andrewhibben8327 Год назад
You are correct. The lesson is on Ronnie Wood’s guitar part on Ronnie Lane’s song ‘Debris’. Eric mentioned loving the Faces and especially the Ronnie Lane songs, so I was paying tribute to him. Ronnie Lane started the small faces with Steve Marriott, co wrote most of their hits. I saw the Faces 3 times, btw, 1st 2 with Lane - who left after ‘ooh la la’, they never made another album

He's 'basic' in the best possible way. And, as has been noted on these comments a pretty good bass player too. The key is he's a musician first and foremost. Seems like a chill hang too. As a wierd sidenote apparently there was talk of Steve Marriott joining the Stones instead of Mick Taylor. He was another pretty basic guitarist, but good enough to inpire 'Whole lotta love'. And he would have blown Jagger off the stage too.

You got to me pre pizza today, rare! And what a mitzvah? Just procrastinating on RU-vid, but I'm about to go in and work on a song in F major, a key I'm not often in, so my eyes/fingers get a little confused (especially because I've spent like 6 months almost exclusively in C# minor... don't ask me why). But here is a nice little diagonal pentatonic scale, as I'm not much of a pentatonic player, but I've been getting a little more pentatonic with this song, but I've been sorta trapped in a box, so this diagonal pentatonic will really help the work I'm about to do. So, big thanks, homey. And to everyone else, this video deserves a couple watches, a lot of little pearls in this one!
