Thank you for sharing. This has been very helpful to me as I'm just starting projects where glue is needed. I already have all of those glues. I believe I'm a glue collector. lol

Helpful, thanks. I've used the Hypo and 6000. Not thrilled with either, and use it relunctantly and sparingly. I find both to be smelly also and use careful ventilation and protect my surfaces.

Loretta S Yes, the E6000 definitely can smell, and it's a good idea to use it in a ventilated area :-)

In my personal opinion and this is just me I love your work me personally if I do work like that I don't ever use lobster class because my fingers cannot handle it especially if I'm the one wearing it it's really hard for me to put on and off by myself

Here's a tip for all if you wipe a small amount of Vaseline around the treads on the cap it will ALWAYS come off as the glue doesn't stick to it :D

I've had a terrible experience with E600. i used it on polymer clay to sucure eypins and glue pieces together on polymer clay. it did not hold even after it cured completely. mine also came with a really long nozzle that got clogged and i couldn't close the cap. it dried out i coulnt squeeze any out and a hole burst on the side. in my opinion hot glue, or dollar store super glue is much better, but if your useing polymer clay with hot glu make sure to sand the surfaces your glueing

How do you keep your ribbon ends looking (non tarnish), when I leave a bracelet out it looks tarnished.
@CSLdesigns
@CSLdesigns 9 лет назад
Becky France I don't really do anything special. I've not had any problems with any of mine tarnishing yet. Maybe it's got something to do with the type/quality of the ribbon ends that makes the difference. But you could also store them in something with an anti tarnish tab inside. That should help prolong it before it tarnishes. I hope that helped :-)

Can i use the hypo cement for shoe repair? Minor midsole separation?

Yanyan Madiam Hmmm I can't say for sure really. It might work, but not sure how it would hold up over time, with the movement of the shoe though.

Hello. I've had a problem with the GS Hypo cement since the day I opened mine. The product comes flooding out of the tip as soon as I take the lid off. I don't squeeze the tube or anything. By the time I get the lid on, the glue is everywhere. Everytime I try to use it, it does the same thing. Have you ever had this problem? I haven't actually been able to use it for anything because once I take off the lid, I'm in a panic trying to get the lid back on right away because of all the glue coming out. Its very irritating. I switched to the E 6000 & it hasn't failed me yet. Anyway, thanks for this video. I recently started trying bead embroidery so I've been curious as to what glues are best for cabs. Have a nice day! :)

***** nice idea the reason that the GS Hypo Cement can come out can be due to the opening being a little too big or the place where you live might be quite hot so the glue can become thinner.....
@CSLdesigns
@CSLdesigns 9 лет назад
***** I can definintely see where you're coming from. The GS-Hypo cement does have a bit of a mind of it's own, but I haven't had it as bad as you described. Maybe you were a bit unlucky with the one you got. But otherwise E6000 is definintely just as good, and it is also the one I use the most. A great glue. And also what I would use for cabochons. Good luck on your journey with bead embroidery. It is a beautiful medium :-)

Rebecca Cornel You could be right. I live in Florida which is super hot & humid. It could be that the heat caused more pressure build up as well. It maybe sat in the mailbox under the florida heat for too long. Thanks for the suggestion! :)

Is it true that the glue is harmful?? I noticed on the bottle today, that your not suppose to inhale it or else you get dizzy and all AND you will get kidney damage.!.!.! Will you really get kidney damage?!?! Does anyone know???
@CSLdesigns
@CSLdesigns 8 лет назад
+Jdolphin6 Yes, you certainly shouldn't ingest it, then it will be harmful, but it is just recommended to use in a well ventilated area.

My problem with E6000 is the smell: 2 weeks later, and the bracelet is still stinky... Oh well... =)
@CSLdesigns
@CSLdesigns 9 лет назад
TheRobilottas Yes, it does smell, but I haven't experienced it being that bad. And I find the smell goes away quite quickly. Maybe we have different sensitivity to it :-)
@lindielee6322
@lindielee6322 8 лет назад
+TheRobilottas You are right as a matter of fact all these glues are highly toxic and should only be used outside away from pets, kids and other people. I use the E6 outside with my chemical mask. I going to buy a 18 gage syringe to dispense the glue so hopefully less fumes will escape. All projects made with this glue sit outside for a few days to off gas. Check out: Multiple Chemical Sensitivity.

Hello be careful cause E6000 contains a product suspected to be carcinogen. It is written on the etiquette.
@CSLdesigns
@CSLdesigns 9 лет назад
Datcha Girl Yes, certainly be careful when using it and follow the directions, like use it in a well ventilated area and let it dry for the recommended time before using the finished piece, and then you should be fine. There is carcinogen and other chemicals in so many things that we use daily so just use things with care :-)
@lindielee6322
@lindielee6322 8 лет назад
+CSLdesigns Yeah, outside and with a chemical mask.

E6000 is too toxic for me. The warning label said just breathing in the vapor might cause cancer! That's like playing Russian Roulette with your health.
