Then when you finally see it in person it’s feels like meeting a celebrity that you’re a big fan of. I literally told this to one of the employees at my local plant nursery as she saw me jumping up and down in the exotic plant section. 🤣

What a jaw dropping collection she sent you. I have a few of the anthurium and I have found them all to be quite easy. I think Anthurium get way too much flack for being difficult to grow. And that Majestic is flawless. 💚💚

Regarding the Mameii silver - I got mine through ecuagenera in April, I put it straight to perlite with leca at the bottom. It rooted so quickly, gave me an excuse of a leaf & it's now working on a bigger, healthier leaf! Put it in perlite, trust me!

Omg i am dying for that majestic. And something exciting from my personal experience with the Pallidiflorum: I imported one that had like 5 leaves that were about 6 inches long. It acclimated and grew normally right from the beginning and within 2 months it had sized up to leaves 13-17" long and I literally DIED. Still cannot believe it. Mine loves terracotta with its base topped with moss with medium light and about 60% humidity and it thrives. Good luck!

I have the Bakerii, and I love it! It’s so easy, I just keep it in ambient room humidity no special cabinet needed bc it’s not a velvety strappy anthurium compared to the other two you got. Mine gets medium light and watered around every 10 days in soil with some moss on top and it’s been putting out new and bigger leaves since I got it! They’re wonderful and I’m always surprised they’re not more popular bc the care is a lot easier and price lower than the velvety boys 🤷🏼♀️ Also, my mamei is thirstier than my other philodendrons I’ve noticed so be prepared for that!

Mamie is finicky until it adapts to your environment IMO mine I almost lost a few times but she’s growing like a weed now so beautiful! I need some of those lazy poles I’ve been making my own out of anything I can find around the house , that mesh fruit comes in . Interesting what u can come up with 😘

PS: anthurium are one of my favs 🖤 I also have a Mamei and mine thrives in a cabinet with high humidity. When I removed it from the cabinet it was very unhappy though, sooo she’s back in the cabinet lol

Wow what a wonderful gift! I’m trying to get into anthurium, I don’t have any space that controls humidity so I’m going slow, I’ve currently got two anthurium gracile seedlings and a magnificum seedling. I’m going the seedling route because it costs less and I’ve heard that they acclimate to room humidity easier so I can have them without a cabinet. I’m hoping to have a Pallidiflorum and a vittarifolium some day.
I had the same reaction when you opened that Anthurium pallidiflorum. Still on my wishlist tho. I am glad that you finally got it Fern!!! lookin forward to seeing the progress of that beautiful pendens Anthurium.
