This is a great routine Steve! Great how you combine basic potting and positional play with "chipping" into the three reds. I will definitely be adding this to my practice routine.

Very good in terms of developing a method logically around the table and enabling options. It's interesting too discovering that some shots can be played with plain-ball and still leaving the desired effect.

Great stuff! Had a go at this - I think one of the hardest things is judging the amount of stun/pace to catch the reds right on the split - I think it's a 1/10 for me at the moment to cannon the correct red, and probably 3/10 for completely missing the reds entirely (although I did have the cluster of 3 reds next to the pink not 3 balls away like you) :) Saying that, the first go I managed to hit the two reds together and got a nice split and got lucky to be on one, I cleared all the reds but failed to pot the last black to get to the yellow (it needed a lot of left hand side and a good strong strike so misjudged the aiming by a mile)... Practised that a few times so hopefully next time will be good :) Thanks again, will try again with the little triangle of reds a bit closer to the black next :).

Interesting video. Great cam view, see how side was hardly used and how little when it was coupled with where to strike white. Short video full of useful information for the less accomplished :-) Thanks.

All these routines of clearing up using only 4 or 5 reds are good as that is when a lot of good players break down scoring over 70 ,position becomes more critical .If you can regularly hit 70 breaks in practice you can make century’s ,another nice break building example Steve .

Great advice as always. I'm sure I'm not alone in focusing on the loose reds, finding myself stuck on breaks of 20+ (30+ if the balls allow!?). Can't wait to try getting the 'bottle' to promote more reds to move to the next level... Thanks.

A video explaining cue ball direction after contact with the object ball would really help with understanding position. Not sure if you have done one before?

Hey Steve, I remember a while ago I saw a video you did about how you went from not being great to getting high breaks by practicing and observing your technique at home. Is that video still up and if so could you perhaps point me in it’s direction? I’d like to watch it again if possible

hi can you help me with vision centre and head position problem? my cue is online but my brain tells me that its not correct. my right eye is the dominant eye but i normally cue centre chin . i have to tilt my head alot to the left while cueing centre chin and it really feels uncomfortable but thats only when i can see straight line, however if i put the cue under my dominant eye right eye, i still have have to tilt my head to the left but its not as much but still feels uncomfortable. so without tilting my head i cannot see a straight line straight when down. how do i fix this ???? tnx alot

Hi Steve, I am strugglig of blue to pick, a Little bit thin right side position, right side spin aiming, always got Little thicker of potting of the pocket. I am Using aiming the center of the cue ball first then pointing to right of the cue ball, is that method wrong? 😢

This video is exactly how I aim. Not how you are doing it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DsgFDwVdjxY.html Give that a go 😀
