I’ve been praising this one for three years. Went in a shop while in Mexico to purchase Colonia Essenza and walked out with Intensa. My favorite of the entire brand
You have in fact turned me onto Aqua di Parma, what others do you recommend, whatever genre, I have the collection bug for years now so I would really welcome your input. Mark
Love this , I’m on my 3rd , I’ve got the strong original formulation with wooden cap that use very rarely, I’ve use the modern formulation a lot especially at weekends
Spot on analysis of this modern classic. My wife LOVES this one on me. I probably have 60 fragrances and it seems like this is her favorite which is nuts. I found it boring and dated at first but it’s grown on me to be one of my favorites. Also, I get a bit of a fresh leather in the mid and dry down…
My favourite Aqua di Parma, came across it in John Lewis years back and bought a 180ml bottle, one of go to fragrances when I don’t know what to wear and always enjoy the scent, don’t think I’ll ever get bored of this one.
Your channel is amazing George. Congratulations! Elegance, passion and humor when talking about fragrances plus beautiful backgrounds and music. Regarding the fragrance, it's geat. The only I'd buy (32 years old) together with Essenza (my favorite), spicy woody citrus that lasts.
I just enjoy your taste of fragrances....I had stopped buying into the hype..now i sample and go with what I actually think is nice ? Unique and sophisticated..
I never really cared for this one, but I picked-up Colonia Futura a couple months back (very cheap from Costco no less) and I'm really enjoying it this Summer heat. Go figure! Regardless, enjoyed the review.
@Jimr880 After seeing your comment, I thought I'd get your opinion if you don't mind. I've never sniffed an Acqua Di Parma scent, but I'm thinking of blind buying one. Would you be able to tell me why you prefer the Futura over the Intensa? Also, is the Futura your favorite ADP scent out of all the Colonia ones?... Thanks. 😊
love this cologne... aqua di parma Ebano. fantastic! the drydown reminds me of dolce & gabbana masculine dolce gabbana and terre d'hermes. I think it is discontinued. I gotta find some clones. I really do love this cologne.
Hi George, amazing video 👍👍 I tend to look for more complex fragrances with depth, but once in a while I get remained that not all fragrances have to be overly complex etc. Sometimes it's enough if the are just simple, straight forward and we'll made. I also really enjoy the Acqua di Parma line. Looking forward to your next video ☺️
Fantastic video from an exquisite gent. This amazing fragrance definitely suits you, George. This one just oozes charisma and screams “gentleman”. In other words, this was formulated specifically for The Fragrance Apprentice. Be well! 👍🍻
I know what you mean about City on Fire. I love it, but when I sprayed it, my wife was like "did you light a match?" Not many occasions when it's appropriate.
I was eyeing this one if I were to go more into Parma, the only one I tried was Colonia Essenza but I found it a bit sharp of a citrus-cologne style for me.
Perofmance?? Just kidding we all do that on slides… Thanks for the review. Sounds like this will work better than Artisan Pure which faded after minutes on my skin. 👍
@WhatHappend. Another YT reviewer (Mr. Smelly) recommended putting some unscented moisturizer in the palm of hand, spraying a weak cologne like Artisan Pure on to the moisturizer, rubbing both hands together, and then rubbing it on your face, neck and arms. I have Varvatos Vintage, and I'm going to try this tip with that weak fragrance. 😊
The searing citrus in this scent just never gives way. It's very cleaning product like. Disappointing to me because I quite like the smokey/leathery accords here. Scent is eternal. Could never escape that cloying citrus.
Apparently, Agua de Colonia Concentrada Barberia by Alvarez Goméz smells similar to this, at a fraction of the price. My bottle will arrive in a few days, so I'll be able to offer an opinion then. AdP has superb quality imo, so it will be interesting to see how they compare.
I love this scent, but sadly very poor performance……..so I bought an additional bottle and just spray it liberally! I also carry a decant. This will always be in my collection…….
Intensa is a beautiful fragrance. Essenza though, I can't tolerate. I honestly believe that is a bad smelling fragrance. My favourites from the house are Intensa, Leather, Oud, Ebano ( beautiful), Sandalo and almost everything from the Mediterranean line.
I'm with you on the Colonia. Love it. Also just some feedback, and take in consideration I'm 66. Your look from a year and a half or so made you look younger and more happier/together. This look looks fun but makes you look older, a bit comical, and like your trying too hard. Note I'm a little bit hippie from the 60's and smoke a little pot so the outfit and hair is cool with me just but I think its not your best look. Just saying. Not meant to be insulting. Your a cool guy and been following your channel for years just thought you might appreciate the feedback since as a RU-vid influencer (like with a movie actor or model) and that means your look is part of what sells you.
Are u crazy? This is HIS look boss. He's been developing it for years. That car makes u look lile youre trying to hard. Clearly not even a hellcat. Car makes u look older and a bit comical.
I just got a decant of this and love the scent but the performance is horrible for me. I sprayed 5 sprays on my neck and one each elbow and wrist. My wife could BARELY smell it on me 2 hours later. Way too expensive for the performance you get IMHO.
I love this one and the original and I understand they are more of an extension of your shower in smelling clean and soapy but no one can smell them on you at all. I can barely smell them on me. Frustrating because they smell incredible. I get awful performance from the original and the intensa. I no they are not supposed to be performance driven scents but these are beyond terrible.
