Demonstration build showing my preferred build and components for upgrading a Tinyhawk 2 Freestyle. Some upgrade parts used in this build are available on my MicronWings Website micronwings.com/product-categ...
I'm actually getting the tracer micro TX starter kit and was planning to put one of the receivers into my new TH II Freestyle, and another in a nazgul 5 V2. Now I know how! I'm a complete newbie and haven't soldered before. But I ordered some practice boards to learn first
Great video. Love your commitment to modding out this one quad. it really helps to see how you go about problem solving. What material is your "Battery Connector Mount" made of? Do you have a link to where you get your buzzer?
Thanks for the support David. The battery mount is made from 1mm FR4 Fiberboard. It's the base material that circuit board are made from before they add the copper plating to it. for the buzzer it's just a standard 5 volt one. You can buy them at many hobby shops. Just make sure you get one with 2 leads not three. The Tinyhawk doesn't have signal wire for buzzer just pos and neg.
Awesome video, love the idea of mounting vtx and receiver on standoffs above the main board, gives a great clean look. Do you happen to have the stl file for those frame skids that go under the motors?
Great content. What did you do with the original RX antenna that came on the board after you added the tracer RX? Did you de-solder it, or did you just leave it in place?
@@stargazer6912 No it won't burn out - the receiver on the board will still be powered but just won't be used because you are setting the UART to the external receiver in BetaFlight.
thx for the quick reply. These where what i could found on internet . If you have other options please let me know and i will order that and put those on instead There is no rush first need to learn to fligh the drone its self witch is already a challenge for me ahah . We i control that i put on the upgrades Found a rc aswell the frsky taranis Q7 and googles of fat shark attitude v6. But will buy those when i can fly. Unless you have beter options ? Thx for the help
For the VTX - yes any analog VTX will work with any analog receiver. But not for the receiver upgrade. The standard receiver on the board is an FRSky SPI receiver and here i am upgrading with a different system. When you add an external receiver then that needs to be compatible with whatever radio system you are using.
Heey man, i am complete new to this and i bought my self a tiny hawk freestyle 2 . I orders some upgrades aswell and i want to ask if these are any good and worth to put on to. *telling lumenier axii 2 mmcx/straight mmcx 5.8ghz 2.2dbi gain fpv antenna rhcp/lhcp for rc fpv racer drone - RHCP / Straight-MMCX *lumenier axii 2 mmcx/straight mmcx 5.8ghz 2.2dbi gain fpv antenna rhcp/lhcp for rc fpv racer drone - RHCP / Straight-MMCX × 1 RHCP / Straight-MMCX *hglrc forward vtx mini fpv-zender 20x20mm pit/25/100/200/350mw *frsky xm+ micro d16 sbus Thx for the video btw as putting it on wi be my first time to so i hope to learn a thing or 2 fro you
The products you mention are all good products. Most people these days however are not using FRSky. But if thsat's all you have then it's okay. The only thing is if it all fits in. for that you need to see yourself. Upgrading this airframe is a challenge. One note on VTX with a 20 x 20 stack mount. it might not fit in because it might make the stack too high. You just have to try it and see.
Hi basud great vids I've subbed u need bit of help got Diatone Roma L5 prob I'm having issues long rang at moment best range 800 meters on race band channel 6 400 mw stock vtx need good anttena 5.8ghz stock is 2dbi ipex ufl connector the mamba anttena long but shit any good ones I should try Cheers
The problem is not your antenna. Even on a cheap antenna you should be getting more than 800meters on 400mw. Yout VTX is probably locked in low power mode - 25mw. some VTX need to be unlocked. Contact the shop you bought it from and ask for instructions or assistance.
Press button for 1t seconds in Google's says 400 that max power so it's not that I change anttena on Google's got from 150 to 800 meters would 14 to 16 dbi be better for googles
