Hi, I made the Peppermint Ruffle sleeve in a white linen. The linen is a heavier weight I really like it but wish I had lengthened the facing to more of a full lining. With it being white it really shows that line under the bust. I will make it again and I will lengthen it I’m not into showing my midriff at 68. Thanks for sharing all the free patterns. Val🇨🇦🇬🇧❤️
I actually forgot to mention that too! Nothing too see through will work well for the lining as it is a strange length! I also removed the pockets from the every day dress to take away the bulk! Thanks so much xxx
Can't decide what is best...your calm, pleasant personality, your makes, your dog or your setting ( snowy here in Ontario Canada). Thanks for great pattern reviews. As always terrific fabric to pattern choices.
Lovely selection here. I will definitely try some of these. BTW us short people also like the shorter length tops as the proportions are better on a petite frame. I really like seeing you in your beautiful garden. Such a nice place to be in.
Thanks. Saved us all a lot of work finding these. As I have a similar shape to yours it was so useful seeing them on you first but have to say, they all looked great!
I love your dog. We had one like her when I was young. She lived to be about 20 years old, and we were very lucky to have her for so long. Thanks for your great videos. I found your video of putting the elastic in the back of the skirt very helpful. I'm going to try that one soon. I appreciate you showing us the where to find the free patters. If I don't have to spend so much on patterns, I can spend more on fabric, so I get to make a few extra things, which I will need now that autumn is in the air.
Hi Kristen, you looked amazing in all your garments and I will definitely be trying most of those...and who doesn't love a free pattern 👌. Thanks so much for sharing them 💖🐾😁😘
If you haven't already made the Athina top pattern make it in a smaller size than normal. It is HUGE! I went down a size and still took it in. I do like to wear it though. Very easy to make.
Thank you so much for the suggestions for the free downloads . I have already downloaded three of them as they look easy to sew . When you buy material and then purchase a commercial pattern it can add a lot to the cost of the garment but with these free patterns and low meterage it makes sewing very affordable . So thank you heaps .
I just found you and now I wonder where have I been!!! I really like your vlog and style! Thanks for the free patterns ,,, I’m gonna have to check them out.
The Dahlia Sew-ciety well it’s been a bit stop start- I’ve had my husband working from home as well as 2 little kids! Hoping to finish it off later. I’ve used muslin as a first attempt as I want to see if I need to adjust the bust darts- got some of the rayon crepe from spotty though in navy ready to go. X
Lovely tops, I especially love be that teal ruffle sleeve one & I also love how you added the ruffles to wrap top (I've made that one). The latest peppermint maxi dress pattern is great, I've made it (adapted it) twice very recently (@the_headless_sewer) and just love it, planning to make another one to get me through the rest of this endlessly humid Auckland summer.
Thanks for all these,I’m from Trinidad 🇹🇹 and we are warm all year round so I end these, did u post the link for the Trini dress? The last pattern ,I don’t seem to see it here,Thank you sooo much
Thanks for the great video. The last Peppermint design, the maxi dress is not in collaboration with In the Folds, but a Perth pattern maker named Lauren Boyle. Thought you would want to give the credit to the correct person. ☺
Oh no! I feel terrible for not researching the latest pattern! Thank you so much for bringing it to my attention! I will definitely mention it on my next vlog! It's so nice to promote Aussie designers!
I had to watch this again! So comprehensive and inspiring. I LOVE your wrap top, so versatile as I too am a pattern/ print fiend. What length did you cut your ruffle for the sleeve it's perfect?!!! xxxx
Thankyou so much! This made me smile :) I cut around 10-15 cm off the sleeve and added about the same size ruffle. Usually the length of a ruffle is about double the circumference of the sleeve!
