I am absolutely in love with your kitchen. The color of the wood isn’t too dark, but isn’t too light either. It’s perfection. The mixture of textures is awesome. I get this almost like modern/rustic vibe from it and I absolutely freaking love it. I am screenshotting this for inspiration….When one day before I die, I can possibly buy a house and make a kitchen myself and make it look something even half as good as this looks. Even the lights that you have next to your oven range hood thing is perfect. It’s almost industrial without being too industrial looking and that gives it…that almost vintage looking vibe. It’s making me wanna see so much more of your house once it’s done. I do have to say that I love black and white plaid… But the whole checkered floor thing is something that I haven’t been able to wrap my mind around and maybe that’s because I can’t envision other things on top of it and around it… (which yeah yeah…I know…checkered isn’t plaid. I get it…) but the black and white theme is a tiny bit similar…and if it isn’t to you guys…well, I guess we cant be friends and you should just let me live in my own fantasy world for now. But anyway…I am very curious about how that checkered floor is going to turn out.

I think ur on to something with it taking so long versus to it taken a few months. U wouldn't appreciate everything as much if it was done with no problems. I am very happy for u, congrats Morgan n I hope u enjoy every bit. Also I would get a ceiling fan duster with a extension for those lights n everything else hanging from ur ceiling. U can change the shape of the circle duster part, since it's made to go around fan blades u can open it enough to put around a light or the fixture or even just use the side of it to dust with.

I bought a townhouse 2 years ago. It's definitely not as nice as yours!! But I'm still so proud of myself for doing it all by myself in my 20s. And to the this day, I still think "is this even real??" I'll look around and think wow... this is mine!
