It's been just over 3 months after I started collecting since I was a kid and this is what I've gotten so far. I never thought I'd get this far into it but it's been a lot of fun!
@The RightStuff That's what there is the most of. You can easily find that type of stuff. Just search for players and sort by price. You'll find a ton of low end stuff
@The RightStuff you need to be searching on eBay, not Google. eBay is the worlds largest sports card market, by far. Their search tool will give you everything you could ask for.
@The RightStuff I assumed you had done more research on the internet than that. They exist. Prizm Draft Picks, Contenders Draft Picks, Score, and Luminance are 4 sets to look at with exactly what you described. There are more but they are higher end and more rare than those 4. I also do a lot of research on cardboardconnection.com. It's a very popular site in the hobby. It provides checklists of players and subsets that you can use to research what's out there before you search for them on eBay if you want. I started collecting just over 2 years ago and found out all this info on my own. I'm not a pro, I've just put in the time to understand what's out there. Sometimes it takes some digging but the info is out there. Join forums, Facebook groups, use Google, etc. All this info is out there, you just gotta look.

Came across this video, and it gave me a lot of perspective on how to organize a bit. I’m new to this hobby as well, and in the beginning went HAM, but slowed it down a bit. Loved the video, and subscribed!
Love the Watson & Lattimore stuff. Be worned all those cards value drop at the beginning of the next season minus a guy here and there. Don't be married to a card if an offer is good... Especially if you don't PC/LOVE the card.

Great video! I collect basketball cards, but it is always good to see what other collectors are doing. Just started my channel its a little random but I do a lot of basketball card related videos! Hope your channel continues to grow!
I just started collecting and bought two boxed, managed to get a, bought some panini boxes, a playbook and optic box, managed to get legends series payton manning, elite series aaron donald, bronze rookie phillip lindsay 19/49, and a drew brees and jmon moore memorabilia cards, and a few more. Edit Oh, and a platinum rob gronkowski. I was a bit bummed because I'm a huge bills fan and didn't get a single bills card lol.

Are you still in the hobby? Just curious as I live in Littleton and follow your vids. I PC all broncos and have almost completed my every year team set for the broncos from 1960 fleer to 2015 Topps then panini so on and so forth. My main guy I started collecting is Bradley Chubb. Easier access because I just got back into it early 2018. Mostly wondering where you been?
I am! I do less videos than when I started. It's hard to find time and I've also started collecting more individual cards than breaking boxes so it makes for less videos. But I'm definitely collecting often right now. Chubb is great to collect! I started on Phillip Lindsay and I've picked up some good stuff so far. Good to hear another CO guy watches!

Lot of people keeps boxes I have about 2000 boxes I haven’t thrown away. But I probably will throw them away cause there really just taking up to much room.
Hey just sub’d and watched this video. I’m just getting back into it myself and doing football reviews. My biggest challenge is organizing everything though! So do you keep every card? I like the idea of sorting hits by team...after hits (numbered, base rookies, inserts, base cards) it gets tougher. Any updated tips would be great. Thanks for the content!
There's not just one way to organize IMO. Do it based on what makes the most sense to you. I like to keep a full set of base cards by itself in separate boxes or multiple base sets in their own boxes and then I organize hits by team in their own respective boxes. I have boxes of Broncos only, Von Miller only, Eddie George only, then sort of a side PC of random stuff I really like and 1/1's that I pull myself. It also changes and I do small reorganizations sometimes based on how the cards are coming in.

Mile High Card Guy yeah so true!! And the best I pulled was back in the day. It was a Stephen Curry crown royal rookie auto very rare. I guess ones sold on eBay for 30k but I sold sadly sold it for 1k. The best card I pulled recently nothing super super crazy like that I just have a bunch worth like couple hundred or so. What about you? You just collect football ?

Mile High Card Guy oh nice! I am a raiders fan but I don’t really watch it much and don’t know all the players like I do with basketball and baseball. If I did I’d collect football too. That’s funny tho I just got addicted to the baseball gypsy queen I’ve already bought a lot haha

I'm going to start collecting football and I'm just curious what products are the best approach for someone who has a mid-range budget? I can't buy the $2,000 cases yet I also have no interest in the dogshit cards either.
Matthew Howell you started too late, a couple of years ago topps made great football cards but now panini is the only Card company and you get a lot of no-names in their products and decent boxes are $200+
Matthew Howell panini isn’t a terrible company. Like they have some really cool looking parallels etc., but getting “player worn” from a veteran was unheard a couple of years ago. Now it’s like as soon as someone gets a jersey card, they immediately look on the back to see if it is even game worn.
@@Ryan-vu7et I'm familiar with panini and I know they make the best stuff out there the point I'm trying to make is they were allowed to grow and take over too much in the industry there's really not a lot of competition that Rivals them when it comes to high-end stuff
Hey Matthew, thanks for the comment. You didn't "start too late". It just depends what you want. Figure that out and go after what you like and want. There's too much out there to waste money on if you don't fully like it. My suggestion for boxes in the mid range: Donruss Optic (lots of parallels, popular card, usually looks clean, not gimmicky), Select (same things said about Optic but a little fancier IMO, I LOVE Select), Prizm (again, lots of parallels, clean look, very popular), Illusions, Certified, Phoenix, Playoff. Playoff is a little bit lower end and doesn't really have a bunch of special stuff but it's a good way to get started for cheaper. Find players and teams you like and go after them. Chase quality and completeness, not quantity. Don't collect just to collect. Don't buy into hyped players too often. It's tempting, but usually doesn't pay off unless you are a huge fan. If Vance Joseph can figure out how to let him get his reps and put him on the field this season, he's going to put up numbers. My take...snatch up some Prizm and Contenders autos right now while you can. They're as low as $5 right now. They'll be more by the end of the season if they give him enough playing time.
He was the one player that I loved as a kid. You know how every kid has that player they love even if there's no reason at all? Eddie George was mine and I never stopped liking him. This was before his Heisman even. So he ended up being a really good athlete to watch for a long time.
I've changed up how I collect since the first 3 months. Mainly because I found out what you're talking about. I've bought TONS of single stuff on eBay and done a lot of live breaks. But I still love cracking open boxes and getting a good variety of stuff. My most recent interest is going after auto sets. I'm really enjoying that because they're full of good players and they're harder to find and wait for
