Dictionaries are compiled by lexicographers, but lexicographers don't necessarily all write dictionaries. Some just study the semantic relationships of words and data found in dictionaries without writing one themselves.

Brother I can understand Arabic and many words but still am not adept at speaking it. I have to perfect my grammar and broaden my vocabulary. Any tips, so far I have been learning my self through reading Arabic books and mainly through the Quran sharif etc?

As salamu alaikum Sam, ¿How are you? I'm from Buenos Aires in Argentina. I'm learning English and Arabic by my self. Arabic is a quite difficult language to study alone. I have an arab friend who helps me to speak and understand the language but even with his help, I can speak and emprove my Arabic as well like English, and I recently finished my first year at the English school. I'm really want to speak Arabic, I read "my learning books" every day, but I didn't find a good place with more than three Arabic levels, and ,generally, the first two levels are about reading and writing. It's very boring! People here don't do their homework or practise out school, and they study Arabic for years! Can you give me a tip? I can read, write and have a short conversation in Arabic. I can understand better than speak because I know a lot of vocabulary. I think the Arabic books... How you say: كتاب الطالب? are very bad, and they're full of useless words and sentences. What do you think about it? What's a good book to learn Arabic with and without a tutor? Sorry, I think I have a lot of mistakes but I hope you can understand me. Thanks and greetings.

@@Ubayd-qp6tq Thank you very much!!! and baraka Allah fik. Yes, I think that listening is the frist step and then talking. I saw "Al manahel" more than twice, and I love it. A sheikh recomends me "السيدة ملعقة", it's for kids (but it's very very boring). Now, I'm watching anime and having conversations with a lovely friend from Libia. I'm teaching him Spanish. So, We're learning Arabic and Spanish step by step at the same time. You can visit my video lists here: ru-vid.com/show-UCxN7kQCsHrYigH47Ugei1Xwfeatured?disable_polymer=true May be they're useful for your students too. Also, I was reading "Arabic Talking book" (archive.org/details/ArabicTalkingBooks) It's a very good collection but I'm looking for a book with "Everyday vocabulary", with common expresion and "links words" like: some times, one time a week I...., I'm talking about, at the same time, the frist time I..., while I'was..... etc. And you know... children histories are narrated, generally, in past and don't use Everyday vocabulary. They talk about a hungry fox looking for food at the forest and things like that. May be I can make a short post with my friend about things we do Everyday, in sha2 Allah. I will talk with him today about that. I will advice you brothers! And again, jazaka Allah kheir!!!!

I would say that the bayyinah institute is a good place to learn Arabic grammar. Or you could take Sam's course for Arabic. And after that you have to learn a lot of vocabulary.
