What were some tips you found to be helpful during your first playthrough of an AC game?

As far as the aiming, Armored Core has had two different lock types. I don't mean Hard and Soft lock. There is Base Lock and True Lock. Base Lock is when the reticle is grey over the target. In this state your shot will hit if the target is stationary, or slow moving. When the reticle turn red, this is true lock. Your AC will lead shots to compensate for your targets' movement. Against fast moving targets such as ACs and bosses. Also, don't feel bad about the helicopter boss. I'm an AC veteran and it still took me a good few attempts.😊

Well so far I haven't seen anyone die to the helicopter as much as I did.

Oh no! Not, NOT using the sword until the game tells you to lol! It tried to! You skipped the dialogue by triggering the pilot analysis, before letting Walter tell you to use the blade against shielded enemies. Cursed moment!

Hey, welcome to the Armored Core series! Hopefully this game turns you into a fan. I've been playing these since AC2 on PS2.

This game looks phenomenal! Also, Day 1 and no bugs to be seen? That's just amazing (as far as recent releases go). The detail they've managed to put into the game while maintaining the large scale is just amazing.

So like, I just came up with a theory. I think Walter purposely powered down your little rocket pod thing, so that it could be be hit by the satelite laser, make it look like you were destroyed, so that you could be "safely" smuggled into Rubicon. This is of course, just a theory. Loved the gameplay Java! Keep it up!

Honestly I don't think I 've seen anyone kill the tutorial boss first time yet. I went in playing it like AC 4 and got rekted. In this game in particular, I noticed that for tougher enemies, staggering is pretty important. But before I get into that. The absolute worst thing you can do in any Armored core game is to save your money. Every part you can buy can be sold back at a 100% refund. There is no reason not to buy things that caught your fancy and the way the game is structured you are actively making your experience worst by not trying stuff out. You can even earn parts form training and sell them at the same price you can buy them back from. So always, always buy whatever you like. If you don't like it, sell it back and buy something else. Plus, the fastest way to learn how to build is to try stuff out and building will make the game easier. The main challenge they added here is Stagger is if you rush in, stagger something and you're not watching your cooldowns or you're not built with a heavy punch to capitalized on it, you're not going to do much damage. Like I was using a dual missile, machine gun, blade build early game (kind of the only thing you can make) and really, the blade is the only weapon that can do heavy stagger damage. So, I bought a handgun to try it out (see, circling to the above statement there i am so smrt). Handguns do heavy impact damage at the cost of low ammo and range. To be honestly I didn't know that weapon you couldn't fire automatically just by holding down the trigger until halfway through, but I ran into an AC and the handgun worked beautifully to burn down his stagger gauge. Leaving him open for a double blade strike into a double missile strike. Most damage I ever did. Not saying it's the best build. Honestly, I can tell when more parts become available it's a pretty bad build, but for that specific mission it was killer. point is in the garage you need to think about how weapons work together and out of it you need to manage reloads and cooldowns. In the middle of combat while managing everything else. I guess that's another thing. Do training, it gives free parts like the totally innocent ai said. It does a good job explaining things and you get a free gun.

Here is a bit of advise for Armored Core newcomers: - AC6 has a lot of replay value due to the decisions made throughout the campaign (that includes multiple endings), as well as the unlockables of New Game + and beyond! - For all newcomer Ravens, you DO NOT need to have played the previous AC games to get into this one, very similar on how Final Fantasy dev teams create its titles. - It plays different from Souls - same smooth, responsive controls. - Long range arsenal: bazookas, gatling guns, split missiles, plasma rifles and more. - Melee weaponry: Cluster bomb thrower, chainsaw, pulse blade, lances and more. - The movement speed is between AC3 and AC5 - There is a heavy focus on customization: Do not get married to a single buld, be flexible. - There are of custom paint jobs and the posibility of downloading weapons for making decals. - Legs are one of the most important parts of your mech, because they determine how much weight your vehicle can carry. - Your power engine / energy source is another vital one as it modifies the amount of energy available, as well as how slow or fast your energy bar will recharge, when its depleted.

Loved your Elden Ring playthrough and feel like this will deliver the same! While you probably already know this by now, if you still have the blade equipped, you can tap L2 twice to get two swipes before it overloads and goes into cooldown.

I love the pace of the gameplay, it seems to very much suit your playstyle. The game itself looks great, and even though I'm not a huge mech fan, I'm enjoying it thoroughly.

Armor DeCore! I like the simple orange and grey color scheme, I hope you stick with it and don’t go for some weird rainbow sherbet color scheme 😀

speaking of assassin's creed..theres actually a third AC! Ace Combat is another super niche beloved cult series that is not known by many but really really loved by the ones that are fans haha. funny enough i got the latest ace combat 7 game and was like u know what fighter planes arent really my thing, i wish i could do this but with mechs instead. me to myself: "i wonder if theres a series out there like that?"

Your using a playstation controller so this will be easy! Pressing triangle while in assembly will expand a given parts stats, pressing the touch pad will bring up a pop-up. Selecting Contextual help will allow you to scroll over each stat and it will give you an in depth summery of the currently selected stat. 3 endings.. new content with each play threw. Things get really wild, enjoy

music AMAZING, bosses AMAZING, bullet hell sequences AWESOME. when i saw the trailer of one boss fight and the music for it was released, i was like if gameplay wasnt good i mightve still gotten it just for the music. ik the balteus ost reminds me of interstellar.

I made one small change to the control scheme. Assuming you're using Type A, I swapped Assault Boost and Quick Boost. I personally found that having QB on L3 made dodging more efficient since it's on the same stick as basic movement

This is my first Armor Core game too! so it will be fun to watch some one else play through and compare builds.
