hello youtube!
i wanted to share the journey of me trying to ceramic coat my TE37's! I believe off road wheels are exposed much harsher conditions than wheels that only see street so why not? sit back and enjoy!

Ceramic coatings are snake oil. We all fell for it in one shape or another but it’s a glorified sealant.

Bit of a waste of time, effort and product, to be ceramic coating the inside of car rims! You and everyone else will never see the inside of the rims :0 - Each to their own i guess

Your car detailing is coming through now to the Cruiser! A ton of work, definitely worth doing at least once on nice things. 😁 The jury may still be out on ceramic coating (I've tried a few myself - Chemical Guys, Maguires, Turtle Wax, etc - with various results, but still easier than old school wax!) but should help with brake dust/mud buildup on those baller wheels! I would be curious to hear if the coating causes any issues with the new wheel weights being able to properly adhere to the barrel and not fall off unintentionally. Gotta keep those big meats in balance, might be good for a long term update later...

Just came back from a weekend camping trip in Death Valley. Haven’t checked yet but the balancing doesn’t seem off. Gotta wash off all the dirt to inspect, will keep you posted!

@@chowcares Thanks! The adhesive those things use is so aggressive, shouldn't be a problem. But you never know 😅

why do the inner rim? Is it a protectant or does it just make your rim shine for a year? If so I'd skip the inner.

I was wondering where you jack your LC up using your jack. Seems you have your hydraulic jack somewhere in the center and then your jack stands in the frame. Where do you jack from in the center?
