Just bought this same case for my own custom build. Wish I had seen your vid before deciding on the dial that I chose. This dial and hand set are really nice. Well done.
I'm not into brands, so I didn't care what text will be there. This is a revisited, on the first iteration I had no text at all, and it looked empty. Now it's more balanced, I think.

By drilling the screw down crown with a 2.5mm, then 3mm. Then I shortened the stem and superglued the crown in order to avoid the crown spring. The result is a good match, but I lost completely the water protection.
@@audit95 An O-ring will solve the problem. I didn't know where to source that, and what thickness I need exactly. A nice feature of this case is that the dial is close to the crystal, unlike other watches I have, and I wanted to keep it that way.
Since I don't have a pressure testing equipment, I need to assume that it is not water resistant. I had a stem height difference with this case, and that also reduce my confidence with water.
My main mistake was to take a case that declared as 2824 AND Miyota 8xxx compatible. It can't be, as these two standards don't have the same stem height. It means that the stem is not exactly in front of the crown hole of the case. Choose only a case that is 2824/2836.
@@AlonNahary Sorry, I still don't understand. Stem height various of course from case to case. You just have to cut the stem height to fit the case. So I guess that's not what you mean? Stem diameter? Or something else? I'm a rookie so I'm just trying to understand. Thanks.
@@greggusan What we cut is the stem by length, I'm talking about something else. The stem height problem is because the Miyota movement is thicker than the 2824 movement. When you put the movement inside the case, the hole of the stem should be exactly in front of the crown hole of the case. In my case, I used the 2824 clone and it is thinner than the Miyota movement, so the two holes where not on the same height.
@@AlonNahary Ahhh, I see what you mean. I have the same case and movement, but I don't think I have that problem. Maybe my dial is thicker? The problem I'm having is I can't get the stem to re-engage in the movement, even when out of the case.
