I have a mandevilla that was my mom's. She asked me to keep it. It has been almost 5 years since her passing and it has bloomed every year. I do the same with mine.

Helen I so enjoyed this video. I use my hot glue gun to make drain holes in plastic containers, it works like a charm! The nose of the gun gets hot enough to melt the plastic.

PLEASE Helen, get yourself a soldering iron (about $10) to melt holes in your plastic containers. That was scary seeing you use a knife to 'stab' the bottoms of yours. Love you.

I'm trying container gardening this year too, although I didn't amend the soil as well as you did. I think that cow manure was a great add. I have been watching your progress on that fallen tree, and I'm so proud of you for finally chopping through it and being able to move it the way you did!!! Patience and persistence always pays off. Congratulations!! I have never seen one of those pry poles, and it sure looks like a good tool to have.

I have nothing but wild violets in my yard,it's like walking on a purple carpet,...I put seed out for my birds also but they seem to leave the little brown seeds behind,they are really partial to sunflower seeds,( picking little buggers) lol,....you are my inspiration to keep moving and do what you can,thank you
