Persona is the only one of these films that I would personally buy, but never mind that. I just feel depressed knowing that you'll have to replace your nice DVD collection with Blu-rays now. And it's not even my collection! I just feel the pain of spending all your money on what you already have...
I recently got into a lot of the Criterion stuff but I haven't yet gotten a Blu-Ray. I have a huge list of movies that interest me lol. Amazing video!!
I remember my first criterion purchase. It was my gateway drug into boutique blu ray labels and my wallet hates me because of it. Side note: Are you going to watch Perfect Days? I would like to know your opinion on that.

I tried to get Criterion on the cheap by subscribing to the Criterion Channel. Big mistake! Not only do they not stream any films in 4K, but there are SO many titles missing. And some will never be available at all, due to their "sensitive" nature, such as Pasolini's Salo. So the only way to get it all is to become a millionaire.
@@CultureDTCTV Yeah he is the greatest current JP director to me. Always with unexpected insights that keep resonating in the memory, and never has propagandas. Favorites so far have been Nobody Knows, and Shoplifters (neither on Criterion).
