Good on you putting this up, you win or you learn right!

Exactly, that's what's good about tournaments you go you find out what your weaknesses are then you go back and you train on those weaknesses. I bet he didn't get choked by that choke again any time soon.

Damn brother I'm gutted for you but tons of respect for posting and even going into competition, most people are too scared to come to a free trial class with a bunch of savages let alone head into competition against them so props man. I'm not the best at passing guard either but I'm starting to figure out the knee in asscrack trick works wonders

Use Stand Up guard Pass, its the best in the Gi. Pin one arm to the chest, with Ur other Hand Grab both His lapels. Stand Up First on the Side where u pinned His arm. Now Stand Up the other Leg so U end Up in a wide Stance. Switch the Grip of His arm to Ur other Hand and straighten urself Out so that U stand Up Like a tree and watch him hang on for His Life lol. A light Push down on his knee and Ur free. Dont give Up the sleeve Grip and U can easily Transfer right Into a knee Cut. Hope U understand my gibberish :D

I also was choked unconscious in a competition. It was the first time my family came to watch me, so I was quite embarrassed haha

I thought maybe the Ref didn't see it quick enough, but if you go by his shaky left foot, he was only out for 3 seconds before the Ref jumped in.

Makes you feel any better I got knocked out from a slam today during my first BJJ competition with the only other opponent in my division after waiting 6 hours to grapple and then getting chocked into submission

Dude next time try getting his gurd off by pressing your elbow to his quads and you will than lock it with your leg , than pass the mount with another leg.

Don’t just sit in his guard. Nothing good for you will ever happen there. Break his grips and start working some passes. Grabbing at his collar just makes you more susceptible to attacks.

Brought the gi around the neck, secured it with the left hand (USUALLY, couldn't tell because of the angle) reach across and grab the gi with the right hand (I usually grab the little piece of bunched up material on the top of the shoulder blade) and it's a cross choke on the neck, pretty good technique for a white belt I gotta say.

this is some seriously sloppy bjj even for white belts. the fact that their coaches thought they were ready for a tournament makes me laugh.
