Nothing like a gorgeous puzzle to jump into after a long day! Also, there's nothing like jumping into a more positive and cheerful puzzle experience after my last one...I'll say no more but watch my last puzzle review (link further down). I absolutely love this autumn inspired image, which is titled "Supper Call". This beautiful jigsaw puzzle set has 1000 pieces, and is from the Charles Wysocki collection from the brand Buffalo Games. This brand of puzzles is definitely one that every puzzle lover should check out.

I saw a few sets from the Aimee Stewart collection, and I love the use of bright colors and how fun the images look. I do plan to pick some up.

Love Buffalo Games puzzles, my second favourite brand after Ravensburger. But the series that I love from Buffalo Games are the Aimee Stewart, Vivid and Night & Day collections. All bright and colourful images.

I have a couple of brand new Ravensburger puzzles in my collection, and I can't wait to open those up! I've heard great things about that brand. I love the use of colors in the Aimee Stewart collection, but now you've made me want to check out what the Vivid and Night&Day collections are all about :)

@@thepuzzledmandy You’ll love Ravensburger. I love the quality and the pieces actually feel soft. Only downside is they have quite a bit of puzzle dust, which isn’t a huge deal to me personally.

You mentioned about looking into ways to 'keep' the puzzle. Separate the whole puzzle into 6 or 8 large sections, on the back of each large section cover with masking tape, so the individual pieces are taped together (but not in a permanent way). Then store (this can be in the box they came in). This means you can put the puzzle back together again in a really quick time, just to look at the whole puzzle picture.

I recently tried something similar to this, but without any tape. Once I placed the sections in the box, I put a plastic bubble in it to keep it from moving in the box. I have to try the masking tape. Do the back of the pieces tend to peel when pulling off the tape?

That puzzle is so beautiful! One tip if you do frame it, keep it out of a sunny location. I had one in my sunroom and over time it faded quite badly. My favorite brand is Galison - I think they’re perfect in every way! And like you, I like to start with the edges first. Happy puzzling! 🤍

I love Charles Wysocki, especially his cats. I have 3 of his puzzles in my stash, planning on doing one after the Ravensburger I'm working on. I really like Buffalo Games puzzles. Nice quality and don't cost a ton.

Buffalo puzzles are truly a great value. I'm happy that most of my local stores carry a really good selection of them, but then again it's bad because I want to buy them all 🤣 I do want to collect more of the Wysocki collection, I love his style!

It's funny, I never used to be a sorter and now that I am, I can't figure out or remember how I used to even start my puzzles. I know they used to take me much longer to complete.

Wonderful puzzle ! I usually start my puzzles by the edges, but it takes so much time... So one time I tried to start by a detail of the puzzle, not especially the edge. It was an interesting experiment. :)

Before I ever started sorting, I would just start on any detail I could find first. It used to take me much longer to finish. Starting with the edge helps me to kind of figure where certain details in the image belong, kind of like mapping it out within the true size of the puzzle. Now you got me thinking about trying another puzzle without starting on the edge, and seeing how good/bad I do LOL.

Yes, I did find Karen's video afterwards, along with a another RU-vidr who use this method! I did try but without using the tape on the back and so far its still holding up well.

I keep a glue stick handy to fix those peeling tabs. When I take the puzzle apart, I repair it; and it's good to go for the next time.

I do the edge first if it is not all the same color or texture or dark. Then I start with whatever I most like within the puzzle and leave most of the edge to the last.

I really struggled doing the edge pieces with my Haunted Mansion puzzle, which was all dark pieces. The edging on this farmhouse puzzle was easy and fun. It really does help a lot when its not all the same color or texture.

I found a 100 watt. Daylight bulb that helped with glare...I wish more channels addressed glare and lighting

Interesting, I’ll have to try that out. Glare can be a real pain sometimes lol.
