I feel a need to help ya out with a liiiiittle bit of basic lore regarding Sheik: Sheik was always Zelda in disguise. Link was never Sheik, nor was Sheik ever a separate person from Zelda. Sheik also only appeared in one canon game: Ocarina of Time, all the way back in 1998. Every appearance since then (in the Smash games, Hyrule Warriors and mangas) isn't canon.

Imagine playing a game for fun, joy, exploration and shenanigans instead of malding over high score and speed kills, pffft
