Hi Miss Murkeri, glad to see you so excited with your first bike! If you get a chance, do look into a Basic RiderCourse class put on by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. They will cover all you did here, but much more, and will turbocharge your learning. As a lifelong rider, I still take rider training about every year... you can never learn too much, and you can never be "too good" a rider. Great JOB! I remember my very first time 20 years ago and just watching your video puts me right in the feels. Although mine was on a 1980's 600cc, which i do not recommend, lol. Then after that i took the course and choose a 250cc dual sport during class! Too bad the grom didn't exist back then, its literally the perfect starter bike and even the most fun bike for experienced riders! I plan to buy one in the future as well! +1 on the gear though, have fun and enjoy! When your ready to move up, give supermoto's a shot! Highly recommend a yamaha wr250x/r!!!!

The kick stand kill switch got me once in front of all the guys at work because I was in a rush to leave after noticing my gas light had come on while warming up the bike. Embarrassing but it’s all part of learning.

Revzilla and cycle gear are good places to get gear and moto parts. Practicing in empty parking lots is the best place to learn. Keep practicing! Riding gets easier the more you do it, and it’s totally worth it. Good luck!

Might be the best purchase you ever make! They make crash cages for stunters that will protect your bike if you do happen to drop or play it down.

Great choice of bike, love Honda mini bikes, that's how I got directed here I guess, like has been said, proper lessons will go a long way, I like a channel called "motocontrol" the guy teaches mad carpark skills for everyday road use and confidence, sure keep making biking vids and your viewer count will gain traction quicker than you think, always good seeing female riders getting onboard, increasing cool factor x10, lol! ..really need proper leg protection moreso now as a beginner than ever. Nice one dad for letting you step into biking so positively 👍

i bought my grom working a part-time at jimmy johns at 18, it was worth every bit. Rn since its been a year, im moving on to a bigger bike soon! Its all worth it Please be safe

Good job. Happy you got some gear. Yes, it isn't cheap. I knew when the bike would turn off it was the kickstand. It has got me before and still does😂. Just one thing I noticed is you have to look up where you want to go. Your chin points the way the bike will go.

Take a proper motorcycle safety class. Your dad has good intentions but he is not an expert motorcycle instructor. You'll learn things there that will keep you alive.

I got a 2022 grom sp also, and w/ the same yoshi full loop exhaust. I slapped some dumb things on it on my channel if u want inspiration and have dumb money to throw at it.

What tires are those? They almost look like Avon Distanzias, but I don't think they make those in Grom/scooter sizes.
