@@faithpharr6368 I just graduated and I work on an LPN float team and I make $43/hr The down side is I dint get any benefits, but I'll take the higher pay

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14❤️ Please don’t take this lightly guys repent today, no day is promised so do it now, here’s the sign you’ve been looking for. God loves you and so do I❤️❤️
Omgg..not trying to tell you what to do but have you tried local agency jobs? They pay wayyyy better! I’m getting paid 29-32 and hr here in Florida! And I only been an LPN for 5 months
I get $31 an hour for the shift I work. I know I could be getting way more with agency, but my benefits are amazing. Most importantly my rn is going to be paid for by my union. So for now since I’m going to stick it out
Can't wait to get in the LVN program here in Houston Texas 💜💯💯💜 I think pay is less but when you work agency it's more of course . Great job pay awesome 👍😎👍
Hello I advise you to contact Dr Luther if you are preparing for your nclex be it RN or PN. He is the reason I and my husband are very happy today working as Rns
What you made in two weeks is what I make as a travel CNA in 1 week working 4 12hr shifts. They really need to up the pay for LVNs. Especially in higher cost of living states.
I mean if I wanted to do travel assignments I would make way more. But because I’m not willing to travel, plus I like having my benefits and school paid for so it works for me. Plus I’m not really willing to work 48hrs a week. 37.5 is my limit with school
I just passed my nclex for LVN in California. I asking for the minimum of 30hr nothing less. The reviews at these LTC facility’s are horrible. So I need that or more
Word of advice do agency and take the LTC places no one wants to work, yes they wont be the cleanest or the most professional but you will get the most hours and highest paid, example lets ay you want to work Monday 3-11 look at the app wait till about 1pm before accepting because the closer to the shift and none of one picked up the agency sometimes offers a higher pay rate so if the rate was 42 it will be 45 a couple hours before the shift
If your planning on going to get rn soon anyway, I think I traveling is a great idea. You can settle down someplace when your an rn. Or not lol. Whatever you do go where the money is
$1873 bi weekly is outrageous for an LPN.. i make $1200 net income every week as a CNA on long Island and thats working 60 hours... Leave the city and come to Long Island...LPN pay way more here than the city...
That’s wonderful. I’ll leave once I’m finished with my rn. My union pays for my school and I’m happy with the pay considering I don’t do overtime. I don’t really want to put the strain on my body to do 60hrs a week.
@@rachela23 oh yes, joining the union was a very good idea, great benefits and they help you keep your job if theres any BS!! they will try fix issues and still help you keep your job!. very productive and resourceful, as they definitely do help alot!!!..no doubt!.. I'm not a union member currently but I'm planning to join in the future when I become an LPN or RN. But definitely look into jobs on long island(suffolk and Nassau), i prefer Suffolk cos i reside here with my family and there are more elderly clients in Nassau and suffolk than the city and more help is needed here for senior citizens.. suffolk county if im not mistaken, has the second highest veteran population in any county in the entire country, so there's more demand for healthcare workers....Nassau is closer to Queens and may sometimes have closer pay rates to the city, depending on the facility... but yet still, rates are wayyy better than the 5 boroughs and work is more descent, less load, less crowd and less stressful in both counties...And you will be surprised how much you will be making compared to the 5 Boroughs....I heard uptown and Westchester County are good too...but I can only speak for Long Island in comparison to the city.... Most importantly Quality of life is better and it's less crowd, less competition and more family oriented compared to the city life... And im just a CNA/HHA for now, so I definitely need to work more hours to get more money based on my family expenses...but everyone is different and you definitely do not need to work 60 hours on long Island as a LPN or RN to make a descent salary....it's a higher position so the pay is definitely higher, so you do not need to do crazy hours at all...My sis became an NP from an RN position few years ago and shes doing great here!!!...and many friends I know are doing great on long island, I personaly know HHA's and CNA's like myself..who leave their homes in the city to do live-ins or work periodicaly on long island for weeks/months because of the wage increase, some even prefer to commute everyday, just because the salary is better and a preferred working environment...facts!!!! All you have to do, is just browse through jobs on the island and check what works best for you....and put God first in all things, build a close relationship with God and He will open more doors for you, like HE did for me and HE keep doing in my life and my family..stay blessed sis..
Thanks for the info. Just some tips: don’t explain every minute detail when you’re doing things, makes the video longer than it needs to be. Enjoyed it overall though, blessings
Wow..they dog y'all! If they pay you 2 separate checks, that's more taxes taken out smh! I hate when jobs do that. We get paid good where I live in Wisconsin!! Esp long-term care!
Not only that. They do the separate checks so they don’t have to give you additional sick and vacation time for the extra hours worked. They think they slick

How long do you think training should be for a new grad? I’m only on Day 2 and they think I know more than most so they are trying to rush my training. I want the same amount of training as everyone else.
Honestly I really think new grads in long term care facilities should get at least 2 weeks. I only got 3 days, so I know what you mean by them rushing you. The thing is you don’t really learn how to do things until your actually doing the job 1-2 months. Hopefully your facility has people around to reach out to if you have questions while on duty.
Honestly I left my first day off of orientation crying. But now work feels like nothing. No anxiety. Still stressful at times but I manage and you will too
Unfortunately you wouldn’t be able to attend the one I did unless your a sophomore in high school. I did my program at clara Barton high school when I was 16
I’m only still here because I’ve reached the time that the union will pay for my rn. If that wasn’t the case I would have been out too. The union pay really ain’t matching the workload for real. Agency is the way to go
@@rachela23 I was with agency when I was at the nursing home but I’ll most definitely find a spot that pays better next time. I’m still doing agency but at a drug rehab
I believe if you can prove your foreign education and you are already a nurse in your country you can. Check the board of nursing website for the state you desire to move to and see what it says

I believe that we should get those LVN back for less pay and these overpaid nurses is what’s causing our overpriced healthcare insurance. More LVN and less RN is the answer for more affordable health insurance in America. Haters will speak up but I’m
Anyone else knows when orientation for school is done, I start lpn school in New Jersey on May 4th and still haven’t been given an orientation day, my advisor keeps saying she would let me know when they decide on the date😬😬, a lot of people said they had their done a month prior
Hi @rachela I would like to start my LPN Program but not sure where to do it. I live in New York too. Where did you go to skl if you don’t mind sharing.
I did it while I was in high school. Go to the ny board of nursing website and they will tell you accredited programs. I know amg college in Brooklyn has an Lpn program. Hope this helps
