They rented a Tesla for the quiet. Josh is driving ,so Kai is on camera. That whole last part of tbe song cuts right to the heart. I imagine his voice just getting better with treatment. That control of the cry is at the same time so free! Amazing.
Have a look at what Sinead O'Connor said after she watched Hi Ren... (there are two tweets) www.reddit.com/r/ren/comments/15aejrp/post_from_ren_rip_to_the_beautiful_and_ferocious/
Just love Ren....a die hard Renegade here from the day i bumped into "Hi Ren". Sent it to my 23 year old grandson who replied "Grandma are you ok?". Made my therapist listen cuz he would ask "what resonates to you from Ren?" As most of my comments contain "Ren sings my soul".
❤YOUR COMMITMENT TO HELPING REN. GIVE YOURSELF SOME 🌼 🌸 🌻 🌹 FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK WITH YOUR MUSIC AS WELL. LASTLY GIVE THOSE 2 LITTLE GIRLS AND THERE BEAUTIFUL STRONG MAMA A BIG OLE HUG FROM NORTH DAKOTA!
I loved what you said about Ren just being completely open and vulnerable in his art, but as a person as well. And that’s why he is so impactful! Too many hide behind personas and fake smiles at all times.
Ren said on Knox's latest interview that he's moving to the US as soon as his treatment is done and after he goes home for a visit!!!! So maybe we will get to see him and maybe he will come visit you once he's living here in the US!!! 💙
Ren wants to be closer to the music industry to help get him more exposure( something like that but still very independent artist and true to himself. G
I totally saw the seatbelt thing right away too! 😂 What if he put on a performance, chill acoustic setting, where he lives and all his followers go to him to see him rather than him doing a tour? I’d totally drive from Denver to New York/Canada to see him… or a virtual concert? (Pentatonix did something similar during Covid)
As a non rap fan( except Rens) , i enjoy the acoustic versions to catch all the word i miss on the rap ones. I enjoy but miss stuff. Hey i grew up on the songs of 60s 70s. Im picky as hell and slow to rap. Lol. Ren is one in a million!
Ren is a real alien shining in the standardized and bland music industry. Smart man, writing is own good and touching lyrics, interpretations full of emotion, great singer, great rapper, great guitarist, great pianist, great beatmaker, original videos with his old friend... What else to say... He really deserve a huge worldwide success which seems on its way. (thanks for doing your part by the way). Hi from France.
I find it hard to believe that he can’t get excellent treatment for Lyme disease in Colorado , where the Rocky Mountains are , but he can’t get them affordably anywhere but Canada because he’s British ! I have complete faith in his genius and he will do perfectly in Canada ! Don’t forget Em is from Michigan ! You’ll see Ren ! He’s Superman !
In reference to the safety concerns, AR's beatboxer friend Eshplume (new to doing reaction videos) pointed out that they ran a red light at the start of the video. I paid more attention to the camera work after that. The next time it focused on the traffic lights at an intersection, the light was green and Ren started singing about being 19 when he first got sick. Not sure if any of this was intentional with the filming, but made a connection for me with the video he put out where he was wearing the number of the main character from Squid Game and rapping about the child hood game Red Light Green Light. Fun tidbits.
Thanks for another lovely Ren reaction. This acoustic version somehow makes it easier to hear the story. Plus, everything about it is Outstanding! I'm hoping for an entire acoustic album from Ren one of these days 💜
The intro is an interpretation of "Shape of My Heart" by Sting. Sting sings about someone using a deck of cards for divination purposes and links the suits to their tarot card origins. It specifically mentions the Jack of Diamonds--linked to the Knight of Pentacles--representing work ethic, diligent planning, and pushing methodically toward one's goals The Queen of Spade--linked to the Queen of Swords--represents intelligence, strategy, and the ability to turn disadvantage to advantage. The song also mentions a king, but does not give a suit. All of the elements of Sting's song fit Ren well, and the fact the King is not completely revealed shows that Ren is far from his final incarnation as a musician and a man. Both versions of this song are a gift.
Ren is a true Renaissance Man. Ren learned how to play the guitar by "slowing down tracks by Jimi Hendrix and John Frusciante." Not only is Ren a songwriter, rapper, singer, producer, director, he also plays a guitar, a bass guitar, and the piano.
Thanks for your sensitive reaction man ❤. At 6:18 did you mean that or did I just understand it like that: "He was in the bus, Bus 🚌 King 👑 ...". Great, Ren is the king of the bus 😆.
I love how Ren's accoustic versions are like Ren doing a cover of his own song and making it his "own" against himself. I think I actually prefer this version in that I csn hear the lyrics and feel the emotion more - especially the meloncholy part as he talks about the kiss of cold steel
Interesting…this starts off so melancholy. He is in a car, singing. It reminds me of Power, except that song is much more upbeat. Ren is clad in the same colours, though. Made me think about how much more we’ve come to know Ren over the last couple of years! You’re right about the seat belt. Funny, because he passed cops blocking off a street, maybe weather related. Presumably, the interior car light was on, too. They didn’t notice. 😳 Anyway, this was beautiful. Ren is beautiful.
Good luck office hunting & getting sleep with a new baby. This acoustic is tight & he definitely puts his real life situations out there. Check out Kenny Hoopla, Hollywood Sucks or Estella when you get a minute.
I'm always indecisive on whether I like the acoustic or studio version better. I always think the acoustic can't top the other, but Ren always delights me with the alternative vibe. Genesis, Murderer, Animal Flow, Troubles... so, so good. Glad you enjoyed it as well. Best wishes for everyone in your house to get some restful sleep. Joy to you!
You are under the impression that you will never see Ren perform however you can flights from Denver to Calgary where he performed this video for under $200. It is just over a 2 hour nonstop flight. I’m sure if you asked him he wouldn’t say no
You disappoint me as a Gen-X. Within this amazing lyrical journey, a seat belt is even noticed. I'm one of those that rode in the back of a truck rolling down the highway. 😊 Keep up the good work bro.🤘🤘🤘
I’m sure this is filmed inside the same vehicle that pulls up at the end of the original version.. that limo didn’t just turn up by accident..everything is meticulously planned.😎
Am I tripping but are some of the tunes he’s playing from the Fred Again Mashup? Certainly plays several separate tunes. Another example of he’s talent and genius!
@@claycarpenter8625 Isn't the intro Natural Blues - Moby which in turn samples American folk singer Vera Hall (from the 1930s) ? edit: Ignore me, you're all obviously taking about the riff.
