XG uses a combo of CGI and Stage Sets in all of their videos. Their videos are always next level. XGALX is their label formerly known as XGALAXY. They have an alien concept. They are Japanese btw...Current ages are 18-21
As mentioned by the other comments already, they shoot with a lot of sets with practical effects mixed with CGI (I would say closer to a hollywood style form of shooting rather than a traditional music video shoot.) They have an overarching alien concept as of now, so most of their concept revolves around alien imagery/ outerspace imagery. They are young, 18-21 y/o. Thank you for your first XG reaction. Are you in for a rabbit hole. So, a bit of an executive summary for you and your subscribers ... XG is short for Xtraordinary Girls, their label is XGALX, which was more or less specifically created for them. Their debut was March 2022. They are seven Japanese, age 18 to 21 as of now, who are based in South Korea and trained with the KPop idol methods ... to then perform NOT K-Pop, but instead mostly western style 90s/early 2000s rap and R&B oriented tracks. *Modern Old School*, if this makes sense - a quite unique concept. Their main songs are all completely in English. They also venture into 90s/y2k pop and club sounds, and their rapline and vocalists also have separate series showcasing them specifically, XG Tape and XG Vox respectively. Officially there are 4 rappers (Jurin, Cocona, Maya, Harvey) and 3 vocalists (Chisa, Juria, Hinata), but the rappers all can sing as well. XG is quite versatile and covers a large spectrum of genres, but it is all rooted in 90s/y2k style. No two songs sound alike - and likewise the MV productions never look alike. They have some with mindblowing CGI effects as well. As for the stars appearing in this MV ... they have a general space/alien theme going on, you'll see elements of these fairly often. Recommended watching: Winter Without You (which is also on The First Take, besides an MV and another It's Live! version) ... seriously, this one on The First Take is a MUST WATCH. Left Right (R&B-ish song that got them on the Rolling Stones magazine's Best 100 Songs of 2023 list) XG Tape #2 as introduction to the rappers XG Vox #5 as introduction to the vocalists Hesonoo & X-Gene (performance video of the two short intro tracks from their first mini album New DNA). Another MUST WATCH. GRL GVNG (aka Girl Gang, first track from New DNA, featuring cyberpunk mermaids and clone armies) TGIF (second New DNA track ... club sounds with surrealistic music video) New Dance (also from New DNA, more of a relaxed summer vibe) Puppet Show (final and main track of New DNA) I obviously left some out, this is what I consider (subjectively) the essentials. Wait until you see the rap cypher and singing medley. So basically XG is a 7-members group, consist of 4 rapper (Cocona,Maya,Harvey,Jurin) and 3 singers (Juria,Chisa,Hinata).
At the time they were 17 to 21. They started training 6 years earlier in 2017. Jurin is the leader. Mostly they film MVs over 2 to 3 days against blue/green screens. Lots of what you see in on the set - like the helicopter model. Their choreography is best appreciated via their dance versions. They're Japanese born, mostly trained in Korea. All their main MVs they sing in English. Their extras are often tri-lingual. Rather than k-pop or j-pop they prefer x-pop (a whole new breed). What you call yourself is VERY controversial to some. XG are Xpop a new concept genre by XGALX from AVEX JAPAN 🇯🇵. These Incredibly talented 7 Japanese members who were selected meticulously by their Executive Producer, Simon “JAKOPS”. He’s a Japanese/Korean former Kpop idol who was born in the US. He’s a visionary genius. They were in training in five years in S. Korea and sometime in Japan as trainees under AVEX. They recently were invited to perform in CHINA 🇨🇳 at the Annual bilibili Music Event…NO other POP Group has attended this for seven years and they had 300 million views. The Alphaz (fandom name 🐺🫶🏽🐺) did the actual fan chant. So, yes 👍🏽 react to more XG. These girls are absolutely killing the POP scene and they Sing in English. Actually i think you mean to say XG uses a lot of practical effects and sets. Which is actually amazing and cuts back on the CGI. If you watch the BTS for SS and GRL GVNG the sets and most effects are actually real. But yeah XG's MVs are top tier in the industry
No, I meant what I said. LOL. Most of it is CGI. Of course, they will have a set. What effect is "real" ? It is called "effect". I watched every video of XG, so I know :D you people are weird. In the MVs there is sometime more or less CGI but they also do many many live perfomances so they can actually perform really good. A good Video without many Effects is the X-Gene Performance Video
The oldest member is Xhosa she sings during the pre chorus first she’s 22 probably 23 now the youngest meme we is Cocona she raps in the first and second verse 2nd she’s 18 now
Most of K-pop is like black pink and btw their budgets are so high that every thing is physically created like there’s a part in this video where one singer, Juria, is on a pink cloud sighting down and she’s a thought bubble for chisa that wasn’t cgi but the editing made it look like it was a though bubble from chisas mind but the cloud itself was an actual set piece.
