My First REAL Tornado! | Chaser VLOG #1 

So here is some background on my passion of weather and chasing. I have been chasing since 2011, I didn't have any money back then to chase longer trips so I had to backyard chase in St. Louis and let's be honest it's a pretty good spot. I have seen many mesos and funnels in my life but nothing that was a confirmed tornado fully condensed. I made the decision after living in Florida for 5 years to get back into chasing when I got back to Missouri. I decided to pull the trigger on a storm chasing trip to the plains because I have been a tree chaser all my life. I was told when I was really young I witnessed my first tornado but I don't count that because I certainly do not remember it. This storm season just had the perfect timing for this to all come together. My weather passion comes alongside my passion in aviation, I got my PPL in 2007 but I currently don't fly anymore and don't have a need to. Chasing is not for everyone, you have to stay level headed and make decisions that matter. I don't get close to tornadic storms the way a lot of professional storm chasers do, I will safely view them from miles away as you saw here. I am just incredibly humbled that through this channel and career as a RU-vidr I can finally make these trips happen more often. I am reluctant to sharing personal hobbies of mine because I never needed an audience to tell me I can't or that I don't know what I am doing. This is the start of more chase vlogs to come. It won't always been tornadic storms either.

Truth be told, I really enjoy all of Jeff's IRL content, including this awesome storm chasing video. The last time he streamed his move from FL to MO IRL, I managed to convince him to stop at Buc-ee's and get some Beaver Nuggets. I heard he really enjoyed them, too.

HOLY CRAP!! It is so freaking cool that one of my favorite tubers was out in my home state chasing naders! The Valero you are driving past at 5:10, I know EXACTLY where you are lmao. I live like 30 minutes from there over in Perry, about 40 minutes drive from Enid, or Hennessy. I am regularly in Stillwater for both groceries, or for work, as I am an IT guy for a local bank in Perry & Stilly. That storm you were watching in Fairview was what I was watching on the weather all day, it spawned a wild amount of tornadoes at one point, thankfully they all dissipated before it came over my town lol. So cool man, I'm probably fan-girling way too hard over this lmao.

Holy cow this is already a throw back! Although I didn’t watch them when they originally came out, I watched some of your original storm chasing videos around 2015/2016. I can tell this is one of your many passions and I was wondering if you were going to get back into it especially playing more storm chasing simulators recently. When those storms came into southwest missouri, my girlfriend and I went storm chasing, kept up on the storm that went tornado warned east of Nevada missouri and as it went tornado warned again as it went through bolivar towards Buffalo before it died out, still got a good look at the wall cloud via lightning before it completely died out. Just got skywarn certified so I can hopefully help save lives in the future when I can travel further to storm chase. ETA- I am in Stockton Mo for welding school and if I hadn't gotten sick I would have for sure been on the storm near mountain view Mo.

Congratulations Jeff that was a very beautiful stovepipe! Storms fired early, and that's why the 25th didn't go crazy as expected. Then the LLJ kicked in, and the overnight Claremore, OK, and Decatur/ Rodgers, AR tornadoes happened.

Tornados have always been fascinating to me. Of course being an Iowan, we get quite a bit of tornados during tornado season as do the other states that get tornados. Hey Jeff! Was on a weekend getaway in Bennett Springs, Missouri and we saw some funneling/rotation in that line of storms on Sunday! Glad it waited to get past us before any tornados popped off! Stay safe out there!

I personally have always loved your vlogs! I remember the first vlog of yours that i watched was a motorcycle vlog and I absolutely loved it because it's something I'm interested in but probably wont ever do. With that being the case, it's nice that your vlogs make me feel like I'm there. It's the closest I'll ever get to riding a motorcycle or to chasing a tornado or whatever the vlog may be about.
