The whole sleeping over at a friends house and them not mentioning that you're going to church with them on Sunday hits hard

I had the pleasure of meeting meat canyon at a convention over this summer, and I asked him what happened to Luke. He said he works at a shop in his home town, but he’s not sure if he’s still extremely religious. I then asked him if Luke’s parents got divorced and he said “oh they definitely did.” So at least Luke’s mom doesn’t have to deal with that anymore.

Wow, that’s so horrifying. What kind of parent gives kids banana slices at a sleepover when they have plenty of pizza rolls?

The way he said "Donkey Konga" was deeply disturbing.

FUN FACT: MeatCanyon was at least 21 years old when this slumber party happened

The entire atmosphere is exactly like having that first sleepover with a new friend. Its roulette and some of them were terrifying.

Animated characters, realistic backgrounds, and 1st person POV. This is deadass how Gumball and Darwin see their universe.

No one is safe from Meatcanyon's grasp Not even himself

"And that's where my memory ends!" It ends on him lying in his friend's room in a sleeping bag, while his friend's father slowly brings a banana to his mouth and stares creepily at another kid. He remembers everything so vividly until the father part, then says his memory stops there. Makes me think something really bad happened to him that he's repressing...

The animation is amazing point of view shots and that hallway scene was sooooo well done. Really a masterpiece

Well done. An innocuous story. Your artwork conveyed the anxiety that is present in a first sleepover with a friend *Chef's Kiss* . It seems inevitable, while in your friends house your friend has no anxiety...after all, this is their home. So they are energetic and flamboyant while you remain cautionary like an animal out of it's habitat. There is "meat" to it too. An air of mystery about the narrator. For example, "Did the narrator not ask his friend about bedtime simply because an early bedtime was a brand new experience for them? Or, was it because they respected the fact they were at someone else house, and perhaps their parents told them to obey the rules set there." I imagine the mother crying in the kitchen, perhaps the extra dialogue she gives is perception based. I think either it was happening or you thought it might be happening so it became an afterthought at that moment. You placed the height of the character appropriately, so I can tell they are a child (duh), but the point i'm making is. I could see how a child might not even be able to process that really. Which is why you zoned out on the pizza rolls? It must be annoying having strangers evaluate your work, but this one is really good. You thought about doing artwork for games?

Shoulda called DSS on her for treating you and your pokemon cards so poorly

Why is no one talking about the Fathers bruised Knuckles and the Mother slightly crying? Such subtle details create a much more disturbing story. I love it

This is how you shake content up. 👏 I think what makes a artist truly great is the ability to change, to show a new angle on their own unique style. That and a steady supply of potassium.

I've lived this. MeatCanyon casually rips open our collective memories and then displays them as incredible animations. How do you have such insight? I dreaded Saturday night sleepovers' at some friends' houses for the very premise of this video. Well done. That was terrifying.

For some reason I find it very lovable that Meatcanyon makes all these horrifying videos but irl has standards of being a decent host to your guests (pizza rolls bit)

The portrayal of the religious household felt so uncanny to me…then I realized I was probably that kid whenever people would come to my house for sleepovers

This is why my mom never let me go on sleep overs. Not even once, even tho i cried and begged her.

Every now and then, I remember this time when I was really small, and I was in the backseat with my brother and my mom was driving us home from the store or something, and it was really hot out that day. My mom saw this old lady walking on the side of the road, who appeared to be struggling with her bags, so she pulled over and offered her a ride home (because, ya know, letting a stranger into your car when your two small children are with you is SUCH a great idea to begin with), to which the lady reluctantly agreed, and she got into the backseat with us. On the way, the lady seemed pretty nervous, and as we got close to her house, she suddenly got the Hershey squirts on full blast all over the seat... And I just think, this is one of those childhood stories that probably explains a lot, lmfao.

His experiences as a child are probably what lead to him making these animations so horrid.

This video is painfully accurate to my childhood. Only I played the rolls of both these kids. It's honestly so scary watching a video that tells the story of your life in a creepy setting. I hate and love this at the same time.
