Hello! The tattoo looks amazing and I just wanted to say good for you for saying no to a bigger size than you wanted! I'm 26 and just got my first tattoo (Zero from the Nightmare before Christmas) and am already planning my next one LOL, I've wanted tattoos for a while but the pain has always scared me away until now. I actually started off with piercings and those hurt way more than my tattoo did. Great video!
I didn't tell anyone but my husband for the five weeks I had to wait... I did tell my son Brandon the day before. When I showed my son Paul, his wife Hayley and little Lilith, on a video call, they went crazy 😂.
Congratulations! I'm so glad you are getting out more and enjoying life more. Beautiful tattoo. I admire your courage for that. I'm not one for tattoos or even pierced ears for myself but I absolutely admire courage to make changes to ourselves, especially as we get older. (Which I can say only because I'm older than you, just slightly, but enough to be honest and feel you wouldn't take it negatively.) Live life to the fullest! Great to see you again. 💜🤗
So very nice to see you!! First of all, I love your new hair color 😍 In my opinion, I love tattoos that have a meaning behind them. I am 50, and I got my first one almost 4 years ago. I had cancer and went through chemo and radiation. I beat it and here to tell my story 😊 So that tattoo is a symbol that I am stronger than I think! Just got me second one this past December. My middle son and I got matching ones ❤ I love your tattoo! You rock it well 😎 Take care 😘
You are a true warrior! Congratulations! All of my 3 boys have got skull tattoos, so I am tempted to do that... But probably somewhere discreet, not on my face or anything 😂
To me do want you want. I think small ones are nice but whole sleeves and lots of them are not something I find appealing but like you said my son says they are addicting. My son and his wife have whole sleeves and many others too. If you like them don’t be bugged at what other peoples reaction is. Take care.
Yay for You❣️ I personally love tattoo art work of all kinds even though I don’t have one. All my kids have tattoos, as does my granddaughter now. I like watching the tattoo shows, too, because you get to see the artists at work. I think where you placed your tattoo and how you designed it is beautiful!! I so enjoy how genuine you are ❤️ It is fun and interesting to hear about your recent interests, experiences or adventures. I say good for you, it looks stunning!!
Well everyone in the tattoo place started telling me they have an 82 year old lady who had one and then had a few more... She's still getting them 😉 xx
One of us! One of us! I love your ink, and I'm about ready for more myself. If not for the expense, I'd be planning my next one right now. Right, doctors, lawyers, librarians, university professors, etc. have tattoos. It's not counter culture anymore. Don't worry about those who don't approve. Who can rightfully presume to approve or disapprove of something someone else does to their body anyway? You do you, and that is a beautiful tattoo. I wish there could be a sisterhood symbol that would also be an attractive tattoo. I'd get that in a heartbeat. Guys are calling each other "brother" all the time, and "brother from another mother" and so forth. Women should be thinking that way, too, like a universal sisterhood kind of thing. Actually, we should just take over the planet.
I am going to get mine "touched up" by the artist, because some of the ink doesn't show too well but that's pretty normal and it's minimal. The downside for me was it took much longer to heal than tattoos usually do - but at 64 and with type 2 diabetes I am not surprised. 😉
Cool, I got one at age 50, it's on the back of my shoulder and I have forgotten I have it, cause I can't see it🤣. The colors have faded years ago so it plain now. So very very proud of you. Blessings upon your family. I started walking every day, well it's only my second day but sweet Clara said I have to live until she's an adult, which is 20, she's 6 yikes 😳, I'm 76🤣 love love your tattoo.😘
👋 Hi! It's great to see you Val!! Your Tatt is lovely! It's funny that I don't have any or desire to get one. But, I find them fascinating, especially those which are beautiful or that have an important significance, like yours! 🌹
Hey!!! Love your tat!!!! Congrats on your first one you picked a nice design! And yea they can be addictive. Iv got like 10 but haven’t had a new one in years.
My “adopted” granddaughter & I have the same tattoo. It says “breathe”, then my daughter & I have the same tattoo that says “Let it go”, which we had done many years before Frozen. They both are special to me as I’m sure yours will be to Lilith!
That's a beautiful tattoo...Well Done and a big welcome to the tattoo club. I've got a few tattoos myself, not as pretty as yours though.. Tattoos are very addictive . It is fantastic to hear that you are getting out a lot more. You look so happy. Keep smiling it looks good on you xxxxxxxxxx
I love your tattoo! I have two so far and very happy with mine although they hurt like hell and I do martial arts so I’m not just a softy but also planning my next one although I take quite a while to design mine 😃
It’s fabulous Val.. my first tattoo healed looking like a piece of embroidery. I had my second in Thailand aged 63 and hope to have my next next spring aged 70.. there’s no upper limit to adventuring 💃🏽
I absolutely love tattoos. I have 4 and there are stories that go with them. My sister gave me my first one. Its a simple heart but i love it, especially since shes not with us any more. After my Mom passed, the grief was unbelievable. I never felt pain like that before. Anyways, she loved butterflies so i got one with pink flowers (pink for breast cancer). Now I feel like shes always with me. The last two were for myself. And yeah, I'm always thinking about another.
I am so sorry for your loss. My Mum loved butterflies too. I now have a thigh tattoo - it's a bottle of liquid with 3 skulls in it 😂. I saw the design and had to get it, because all of my three sons have skull type tattoos. 😊 xx
I absolutely love it Val! What a lovely dedication to Lillith! I have 2 tattoos on my back. They're both over 20 years old now but I've been itching to get another one for the past few years. I like that there's numbing spray now! One of my tattoo's is on my scapula so that was painful as it was so close to the bone. Not unbearable or anything but I definitely felt it! Mine are celtic designs...💚
I love the tat! I've got a couple of small tattoos. I do want another one that's bigger but I'm quite fussy and can never decide what I want 😂. I would like something to memorialise my late dog and also something to represent my little Jack Russell. I just can't decide what to have. Also, my first tattoo on my hip was extremely painful and I haven't forgotten that even after twenty years lol.
Thanks! If you go down the pet portrait route, make sure you pick an artist you have researched. You probably know that already but I have seen a few messed up pictures, so I feel compelled to tell you 😳❤️
Thanks! I hope so 🙂. I can only see it properly in the mirror, because I have had two separate bleeds on my right retina, over the last 10 years. So I have a blurry view of it from my right eye and my nose gets fully in the way of my left eye 😂
I want two. A thistle with a bee and a monarch butterfly for my Scottish roots and my children. The other is "Non. Je ne regrette rein" I regret nothing in French for my marriage.
Love it Val! It is a beauty. I have got a couple and may at some point get another (I am 61) My daughter started to train to be a tattooist whilst she was at UNI but gave it up due to lack of time. I will get her to do one for me one day x
joke: woman asks friend why she'd "mutilate" herself with a tattoo. Friend replies, "it's not mutilation. It's art". Woman: But in a few years, the "art" will be hanging in the basement". 🤪
Bravo! I think it is utterly fabulous and yes a great design! Also congratulations on your therapy and making the big leap of going out on your own to get the tattoo! Really enjoyed hearing how you have faced challenges and gone "hell yes! I can and will do this!" Just discovered your RU-vid because I am relearning Fimo because I want to add handles to crochet hooks as the lady I use to buy them from in UK has stopped very recently and rather than find another maker, i realised I can make them for myself.
That is a lovely tat (I'm not into them myself, but they can be quite artfully done), with beautiful symbolism behind it! Re you sore ear: I use a side sleeper pillow (it's a cross between a donut cushion and a neck pillow), it has a hole that your ear is placed over to prevent the pressure on your ear. You can get different types with varying thicknesses; mine is relatively thin, but it suits me to have it over a normal thin pillow to get the height right for me.
Thanks Lynette! I have seen some pillows on Amazon but they're annoyingly expensive. That said, I would probably benefit a lot. I should order one 🤔. xx
@@UnrulyHousewife They can be expensive; but my ears have always been too sensitive to pressure to make do with an ordinary pillow. For me, it's worth it to be comfortable enough to sleep - lack of sleep makes a grumpy bear out of me. I did get a neck pillow from the two dollar shop (in Australia) once, and it felt fine, but it only lasted about 8 months.
I told the artist what I wanted and he drew it up for me. As a guide I sent him a picture of a peony that he had already designed, and a couple of examples of the Lilith symbol. He suggested the colours. ☺️
My Nan is older than you she has 4 kids 11 Grankids and 2 great grandkids and she has lots of tattoos and several are always visible. Nobody has ever treated her differently. To be honest you remind me alot of my nan she is cool. Wow I presumed you had your hair done at the hair dressers it looks amazing and suits your personality so much. When I saw your title I was half convinced it would be a Hello Kitty Tattoo 😁
