My First Time at Carowinds! | Carowinds Vlog 2024 

Hey man, stumbled on your channel awhile ago with your Michigan’s Adventure video last year. Checking back into your current content, your quality has really taken a massive jump. Great shooting, great editing, and great commentary!

Thank you for this great video. I live almost 3 hours away from Carowinds. I was there the same day, Friday May 10, 2024, thinking the crowds would be low since school was in session. Boy was I wrong! School group bands, choirs and graduation field trips from all over Georgia, South and North Carolina, and probably more states, were there and it was awful as soon as I walked in the gate. They wore t-shirts identifying what groups they were in. It was about an hour and 20 minutes to get on Fury and almost that long to get a pre-made cheeseburger displayed in bins at Juke Box Diner. The threatening weather shut down the coasters twice including Hurler when I was the next to get on. I think the students left not because of rain but to return home on their chartered buses. The park had an online 10 PM closing time but an announcement came on at 7:50 saying they'd be closing in 10 minutes, 8PM. I figured I'd catch the coasters I still hadn't ridden, but no, they closed early. It was definitely a bad day. Having remained in Statesville, NC for the weekend and going back toward Charleston, I returned on Sunday May 12, 2024, and every ride was practically a walk on with no more than a 5 minute wait all day. The students were long gone and Carowinds was wide open for fun, short lines for food and perfect weather. I agree with many of your roller coaster reviews. The Ricochet coaster is plenty scary as you make those tight curves and hope you don't get thrown 50 feet down on the pavement. I think Thunder Striker had great air time on its hills where if you let loose you can feel yourself rising out of the seat, almost weightless. Carowinds is a wonderful place in my opinion and staff were very friendly.

Is going to Carolyn’s recently and writing my first ever roller coaster there super fun only screamed on one roller coaster, which was the first one that I ever rode which was afterburn I consider you right after earning the 10 out of 10

With Harmony Hall, you guys didn't get the right food, lol. I eat there regularly and it has some of the best regional theme park food out there overall. I never, ever get theme park pizza, burgers, hot dogs, nuggets. Rarely ever is it that good anywhere and I would rather have more interesting food than that. You should've gotten the brisket/mac n cheese/cornbread platter. It's awesome and has become my go-to meal. Their deserts are great too. Still, great video. Thanks for posting.

This was a fantastic day - I feel like the theme of the visit was "are we EVER gonna get on Copperhead Strike?" but it was SO worth the wait! Fury was AMAZING, the park was great, and once the rain scared all of the school bands off, the place got nice and quiet - All in all, it was a great time at a FANTASTIC park (Far be it for me to disagree with Doofles, but Afterburn is also REALLY good, so there's that haha)

on the air racers me n my fam went back in march and we didnt know what it was so it broke down right before we went on and we were first on for it and we didnt know it went fully upside so it scared us but it was fun overall and very funny bc we were screamjng now knowing what was gonna happen. also why didnt you ride vortex? was it just a long wait or was it not open? i knew it wasnt open for a bit when we went but it opened like the last day we were there.

what day did you go on? i didnt think it was open till end of may.

I have been taking my family to Carowinds for years, and are going again this year. One thing I'd like to point out, Ricochet is terrible. Fair warning to all, it is terrible, and the line is always long. That said, it's not as bad as Vortex, which never has a line, which you didn't do. Stay clear of Vortex and Ricochet and you'll be fine.
