My First Time Backpacking in the Snow 

With no experience hiking in the winter, and very little backpacking at all, I figured it would be fun to tackle a snow-covered trail in -12 degree weather.
I hiked a trail in Ohio called the Zaleski South Loop: Moonville rail Trail.
Also I said -12 degrees above which is in Celsius to sound more dramatic. That's 10 degrees Fahrenheit, which is still way too cold, but still, just sayin.
Quick tips other than bring super warm clothes/sleeping bag:
- Trekking poles are great in the snow
- Water freezes (who knew)
- Don't fall into creeks
