The original version (Japanese) based on a true story... very touching: It is about Yoshiko Yamaguchi (*1920-2014), a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She was deported to Japan and longed for China. Ms. Yamaguchi did not return to China until many years as deputy environment minister in the Japanese parliament. This is my favorite performance, so far, of "Autumn Strong" (I think Eternal Autumn would be a better title, btw). I also loved his 1st performance of "Autumn Strong" in the 2017 singing competition in China- "I Am (a/the) Singer." But this performance is more relaxed and that last soaring note- divine.❤👽🇰🇿

This whole concert in Ukraine was wonderful. Sad to look at those on the audience and knowing how their world will be turned upside down in the near future.
Samaltau is a great song. It is in his native tongue and is the story of a young man forced into service in the old Soviet times for war in 1916. The tale of the young man leaving his home, elderly parents, his country and not knowing what will happen. There are two outstanding versions, one he did in his home studio during covid restrictions for the Tokyo Jazz Festival and another also during covid but during his digital concert he put on for fans in 2021. Both are amazing and the traditional instruments will give you goose bumps into next week. Then there is the Japanese version of Autumn Strong called Ikanaide which he also did for the Tokyo Jazz Festival in studio due to Covid. Now that one will literally blow your mind. Very up close so you can see better how he moves back and forth to and from the mic depending on how much power he is going to unleash.

Dimash voice is very special. I love this voice so much. Maybe you`ve missed at the end how he sang with the mic so far away. So many songs are great. For example: Passione (New Wave 2019), El Amor En Ti - Often the lyrics of Dimash songs are very significant. Mostly you can find at least the eng Translation in the captions (settings). - Why is your song at the beginning so creepy? You look like a nice guy with deep feelings.
I get lost in some of Dimash's performances too. Sometimes I feel like I am floating because his voice is so soulful. While there is no one who can sing as well as Dimash, maybe you would be interested in a few other worldclass vocalists. SoHyang is a Gospel singer from South Korea known as the Asian Mariah Carey. To me ,I liked Dimash’s first performance of Autumn Strong in 2017 at the Chinese show I Am Singer . Dimash learned the song in one week and was so worried about speaking the language correctly. From what I’ve read Dimash sang it perfectly and had the audience and other contestants in tears. It is a must watch to me along with his other performances at the contest. I also would play Dimash’s videos all the way to the end and you’ll see both Dimash’s reactions and the reactions of his Dears . You’ll learn a little more about how genuine Dimash is if you do.
