I love both the live and studio version, although this studio version really does show off the band's harmonies to full effect. We couldn't of asked for a better reaction and reactor , to celebrate the great man's birthday!!!🎈🥳

Freddie for recording studio level genius too, he really knew how to layer sounds even before digital recording. Their live performance was just a good but for different reasons. But was sick what they could do in the studio

So glad you love Queen. I grew up in that era. Their music unites millions of people in unison, singing, clapping, crying. Just look at Covid times. What were people singing off their balconies on lockdown? Queen. Their music has pulled me and many others out of very dark places. I love the guys so much and miss Freddie every day. DRAGON ATTACK, SAVE ME, SAIL AWAY SWEET SISTER, DONT TRY SUICIDE, NEED YOUR LOVING TONIGHT, and ROCK IT (PRIME JIVE) are some of my favorite songs by Queen. And they are all from one album. THE GAME was the first cassette I bought from the group. A year later, I was forced to buy a new one because it was worn thin from repeated playing. The CD can take the punishment of constant play. But there is a backup in my collection just in case. Enjoy

A few suggestions for groups/performers you haven't sèem to have touched. In memory of Jimmy Buffett who passed away September 1 either Come Monday, which he wrote for his future wife, or Margaritaville his most famous song. You may want to do Jethro Tull. I would suggest Locomotive Breath. If you do them do live performances. Supertramp probably The Logical Song. You may also want to do the late Harry Chapin. He was best known for Cats In The Cradle although my personal favourite song is She Sings Her Songs Without Words. He also had a major hit with Taxi. There is the late Gordon Lightfoot, If You Could Read My Mind (he was Bob Dylan's favourite songwriter)

Check out the George Michael live version from the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert. STL is one of Queens strongest tracks. Freddie considered it better than Bohemian Rhapsody.

Sir Bri's solos always fit the song. Many guitarists just shred to shred, he wants to fit the song. That made some people find Queen "uncool".... hah jokes on them
This was actually his favourite song, so purrfect choice. Live versions are better for a lot of reasons, but one thing this studio version has which can't be replicated live are all those impeccably beautiful harmonies. They were pioneers in making music videos before MTV was a thing. They hated miming for Top of the pops, so they started doing their own. Ironically, the very first music video, which was so groundbreaking, is the one you infamously disliked! ;)
No he wasn’t… in fact, besides choir at boarding school as a boy, he had *no* vocal training at all. He didn’t learn any *formal* vocal techniques until he collaborated with Montserrat Caballé in 87. He worked very hard to develop his voice by self-motivation and repeatedly practicing to develop his unique tonal qualities.
The greatest Rock n Roll band of all-time! Listen to more and learn how to play real, real music around. Get yourself some muscians not computer crap and learn like i did, seriously girl.
