Great vid, I feel so related to your story, thanks for sharing and congrats on the video edition and storytelling technique :), great Send btw... I've been trying bouldering for 3 months now, and I've hitted that v5 plateau, Hopefully next months with some fingers strength training I'll get there ;)

Nice job bro! P.S personally I prefer normal chalk, but nothing can beat the slow transformation of the liquid chalk from liquid to solid.

It is difficult to tell just from the video how far apart those holds are, how tall you are and what is your motion range. It is difficult to tell what you are actually trying as you've cut like the most important bits of your attempts from the video. The thing is, I don't think this is a dyno. For shorter climbers probably, but you seem to be fairly tall (and by that I mean kinda average plus) I believe. You just need to lear and lean into a little bit more ackward body positions, keep your balance an leverage rotations to get closer. In frame at 3:50 timestamp you seem to be doing preety good job, trying to push yourself from the first hold and hold for the edge. Thats a good start. Next thing to do would be rotate your left arm so you would push from your palm, rather than fingers and turn your left leg the other way so your knee points to the left rather than the right. At the same time you need to shift your pelvis to the right and use right leg for heel hook on the edge of the wall similarly to your right arm. What makes this difficult is to be able to keep your body tension the whole time and that slight overhang above your head, but if you were facing the other way, you would be closer to the next hold and from the looks of it be able to reach it with your right arm. I would follow that up by moving left hand to the same hold. The rest of the route looked like you managed decently well. Another unsolicited advice on top ... Don't focus on grades, don't try to push yourself for harder and harder grades. Try to climbe just V3s but try many different styles on the same route. Try not to reach the top, but rather learn how you can reach the tom as efficiently and with as little effort as possible. Thet will teach you valuable skills, that you can then (when you have them in your muscle memory) translate on harder routes.

I love the advice here...I've definitely heard a lot about the importance of kind of bringing your pelvis/hips into the wall but haven't put it into practice as much as I probably should. Also the idea of moving me knee leftward is crazy to me, it might work but the body position is going to feel so awkward haha; hafta get used to it though I guess. Gonna try it again soon and see how it goes. Thanks for watching!

@@therealhexia I am not sure if you misunderstood, or you just speak that way, but "the idea of moving me knee leftward is crazy to me" statement is incorrect. You shouldn't move your knee to the left, but rather rotate it so it points in that direction. You can then stretch the leg a gain more reach. It won't work without the heel hook on your right leg though and you need to be able to keep the tension. In regards to having pelvis close to the wall, it's not correct in all the circumstances. Depends on your body position. Generally you are trying to work with your center of mass/gravity and move it above the leg or below the hand which bears most of your weight at that moment. That said, moving your pelvis closer to the wall usually moves you closer to your next hold :)
