Today I’ll be doing My First Shift As A Walmart Spark Driver and seeing how much we make? I’ve been trying to do Walmart Spark Delivery for months now and finally I was accepted and now he here is Walmart Spark driver tutorial

Worst part of driving for Spark is the 24 hour hold on tips, sometimes they just don't show up if you catch my drift. Luckily, It is balanced by the $11 half mile trips across the street to deliver a single item. Keep an eye out on the big batch orders, sometimes they look good, the milage back isn't covered, can make a $30 10 stop trip for 15 miles into 20 extra miles home real fast.

Yeah, it sucks as Ive learned! What about incentives, there was a 4 dollar order on trips done on labor day weekend, Im still waiting to see that pay out LOL

@@danguts2844 the incentive payouts show up in the app the night the incentive ends, and it hits the bank about a week later on a tuesday.

I did some walmart drop offs on uber eats last week, had 1 for 40 dollars going 8 miles crossing state lines, I only got paid 20, I spoke to support they said Id have to wait 72hrs for the tip, after 3 days passed I contacted support again and they said I already got the tip? I said it was for 40 dollars and they just basicly brushed me off the line, if u got no screen shot u got no proof is what I learned from them.... Beware of the trickery!!!! Its either Dara from uber ripped me off or the customer tip baited!!!

If it says ASAP arrival, it means it’s orders that people rejected! If it has a timer, those are your “exclusive” orders before they’re offered to other drivers. Try to avoid return orders!!! It’s a decent gig, shopping orders are decent cause they actually show you where things are, and you can substitute out of stock items easily! Best of luck!

Don’t worry you’ll get some heavy 40 packs of water soon lol. I agree it’s not great by itself but multi-apping I love it. You’ll probably do better once you learn more about it (like how curbside offers go out at like 38-48 after the hour so it’s good to be close to a wal mart at those times if possible). I run it all day from like 7:30am-10pm and some days I do 3 orders and a busy day like 11. But if you average $15-20 per order that adds up quick! Also do wal mart employees not load curbside order for you? Here spark drivers are supposed to stay in the vehicle while they load lol

I loved Spark. I was doing both Spark and DoorDash but once I got Spark figured out and in a flow, I started doing it solely. Definitely has a learning curve! I was making $1000 a week with Spark and was deactivated last week. I did not scan someone’s ID during an alcohol delivery because of GPS issue. I’m hoping they will show me some grace and give me my account back. Good luck! Keep at it!

How does your GPS affect your ability to scan IDs? Also if you can't scan / enter an ID, then wouldnt you just return the order? I don't get why people are saying you'd be deactivated unless you gave them the order anyway.

You can change what zones you want to spark in and when you find out which walmart is always busy and tip the best you will have a way better exerience and won't sit around and wait at all.

spark was super worth it for me in southern california, living 3 minutes from 3 different walmarts, but it started having double the work for the same pay. i eventually got deactivated (blessing in disguise) and i've heard from old friends that it's tripled the work for the same pay. glad to be doing amazon flex where i'm avging 40/hr specifically doing wholefoods

I've been driving Spark for about 3 months. In my market it stays pretty consistent for how much I use it. Also, in my market we aren't allowed to load the groceries into the vehicles the Walmart employees have to or they will get disciplined. Both Walmarts in my area are this way which slows down the delivery times. I make pretty good extra money doing it but I make more a week doing DD and Uber.

Also just a little tip not sure if you know but the orders drop between the :22 & 45 of the hour shopping orders can come at any time tho 🙂

Orders may start at 6:38am in your market. I think you should do a full morning shift like maybe three or four hours, you just really gotta remember to only take what you can complete in that hour because like if you get a $22 order, but you can’t make it back by the end of the hour then you might be waiting a long time for another order

Be careful with what offer you take, because the full tip isn't always what it seems to be. I had a $35 order with a $15 tip pending and it changed to $7 after a whole 24hrs.

They load up the vehicle for us at walmart. They don't even want you getting out of the car. At least they bagged your milk though. Easier to drop off that way.

I love that Exton Walmart and once in a while I do go to the pharmacy to help float for coverage. I wanted to try Spark but part of the agreement since I work at the pharmacy in Walmart was that I could not do spark in addition to Walmart. It's because I already get a W2 and IRS with tax laws have that conflict of interest with a 1099 too. My main job is nice at pharmacy, so I never tried to risk it with Spark because I knew associates that did both either mostly got their spark account deactivated or even let go.

I do spark and overall I like it. Sometimes it is very slow though! Some orders are horrible though. In my zone we have 5 Walmarts and Sam’s.

I was going to ask why you weren’t a spark driver. I got approved in less than two weeks. I love mixing it in with DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Instacart. It’s definitely better in Becthelsville-Pottstown.

Refuse alcohol orders. Id you go somewhere your GPS doesn't work and don't scan the customer id then your account will be suspended.

Don’t take any orders that are less than like $20+ when it’s busy busy though, and 9am is the return hour so you’ll get a ton of $10 offers to pick up a return from someone and take it to Walmart But busy time is 6am-8am then after 2:30pm

Find the pin at your Walmart and park as close as possible also if that was a Monday Tuesday that could be why. Plus I know here the 10:30-1:30 is slower.

Try going to a bigger walmart that store looks very small so it won't get many orders. I work for walmart full time in online grocery my store does between 50 to 80 delivery orders a day that spark drivers pick up

The store associates don't load the orders in your car??! They always load the orders here at every store I deliver from. And the parking spots being letters is too funny. Every store here has numbers for the spots. The main store here has 50 pick up spots! The smaller store I like has 15 spots. All numbered lol . I hope you enjoy spark and make some good money. I like it so much better than doordash.

No easy fix on the bag issue. Banning one always leads to another vice to make up for it. Paper-Bags might be made from recycled paper but the process uses a ton of chemicals that get disposed in wastewater ponds of paper plants. That just sits out there and pollutes nearby watersheds. At this point we might as well just not use bags and just use JB's car..

That walmart sucks! We have 2 walmarts about 8 miles apart and they bring out everything on push carts with plastic boxes labeled with separated orders. You need to pick a better location! Also be weary on orders we had one added to the trip and it was 199 items.

Seems like you guys don’t really make enough unless the customer adds at least a 10% delivery tip. And if the customer picks “shipping”, walmart just pulls it from the store and then the customer really doesnt tip for those, since they didnt select “delivery from store”. I’m a W+ member, they advertise free delivery from the store and no tip needed, which really isn’t the case if W+ members want to keep people driving for Walmart. On the flip side, walmart employees hate Spark here, especially the ones that have the driver shop the store and use scan/go, because some drivers are stealing items for themselves when they go through the self checkouts. for a delivery order.

i Just started spark as well with my uber eats and doordash gig. made 180 in the first 5 hours. I do have a question about the shopping in person. If i maked an item not available and i find it later, how do i go back to mark it available again without having to wait to the end? and can we chat with customer before leaving Walmart in case of sub items ?

I don't know what the point of solo is now though. I signed up and opened the app, but saw nothing about getting guaranteed pay anywhere. Do they still offer that? If not, what's the point of them?

Also it automatically tracks your miles during your gig work so when it’ll keep all your miles for the year tracked making it easy for tax time :)

That's unfortunate. I no longer have the free trial. I thought it would automatically pay the difference when I added DD to the app. Too bad it wasn't clearer as to exactly what to do to get the guaranteed pay. Now I have to pay to see if it's worth it. Which, of course, offsets the added pay I may receive. Sounds like you're now giving them the difference you would make from them.
