I loved your video. Yes, I am in my late 50's and I still am going thru different paths of life. I am learning a lot and today I am in the best place I have ever been. I feel your struggles led you to your job and your apartment. I am glad you are happy. I do not live in NYC, but I plan to visit when things calm down. I'm still working on mine. I lost my job and a place to stay during lockdown aft joining in just 2 months. Moved in to a new place and have been searching for job like almost 3 months now. No call back for round 2 yet so far. It is so frustrating and stressful, now I'm losing my hair even more. I'm just gonna stay positive. Aft watching your video, it made me think that good things do take time and it will come around and we shouldn't give up. You will eventually get the sign. 😊

NYC is hard, and I am raised here. I graduated with a BBA and Associates in Business and still to this day, I didn't get a job in what I majored in. I recently turned 30 & finally just got my own apartment and been a city employee for 3 years now. It's not a job I was strongly passionate about, but I figured the City Job was my best options for job security, full benefits and a pension. BTW, apartments in NYC is super crazy expensive, yet the salary most companies are willing to pay doesn't even meet the cost of living. So your not the only one. It's crazy here

I recently moved from GA to CA in the last year and wasn't sure about it at the time either. But also glad I stuck with it - so your story resonated a lot with me! Please keep making these videos ~

I’m glad you’re still friends with your friend. My husband and I stayed with one of his friends when we moved somewhere new - he asked if we could move out so we did, then we found a note in our stuff from him, asking us never to contact him again as he was no longer friends with us. He’d never mentioned a problem before this point. Anyway, sharing a space can be difficult! Sorry for the essay; I’m glad you’ve got your own place now and I look forward to your future videos! :)

Yes moving cross country is jarring. Especially dealing with weather lol. I feel like the first year opens your eyes to if you’re a warrior or not. 2 years ago I moved cross country from SC to Denver by myself and I felt restless and like I was going non stop for the first 8 months. Readjusting my life solo and being so far away from family and friends had me questioning my decision often, but now I look back with pride. I stuck it out and have grown way more than I ever would have if I was still in the south. It teaches you who you really are and I would suggest everyone to get out of their comfort zone if you’re able to.
