Good breakdown of your fillet knives - Victory are great knives and were originally designed by a cutler who took his skills to NZ. The Mercer looks good and will definitely be checking it out.
What are the chances? I broke one of my knives yesterday filleting luderick and decided to look at amazon to see what's available and came across the mercer m23860. Punched it into youtube and this is the first video that popped up... another dude filleting luderick. Well that's a sign, I'm getting one.
@@mick9850 they are a great knife mate, they do have a sheath but I couldn't source one in Australia. I use a plastic sheath from AliExpress I'll see if I can find it for you.
@@mick9850 it would be the 220 x 36 one I am using for it, pretty sure I only paid about $7 or so for it and got free shipping at the time, the shipping has gone up and price come down unfortunately. Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! @@jonnywaselectric awesome, thanks for that. For the money, it all looks very promising. BCF sell the crappiest looking mustard knives for the same price
@@mick9850 I wouldn't touch a mustad knife, mate has one and the padding on the grip is peeling off. I had one and it snapped when I was bleeding a fish and it kicked, nearly sliced my hand open too.
