Ya definitely! Growing up I never even thought about it but I wasn’t doing anything too crazy back then. Well maybe a little. But ya once I started back up...be it old age or being a little heavier than I used to be...my feet/knees were really feeling it. These insoles definitely helped. If you get a pair lemme know how they worked for you. Thanks for watching!
I wouldn't say 'work just as well'. I have the FP Kingfoam Elite (Jaws edition) and the red flat 5mm camo you have there. And I absolutely do prefer the FP Kingfoam Elite by a lot. They feel 10x softer to my feet compared to the much stiffer 5mm camo red ones. Not saying those aren't still better than the flimsy stuff most shoes come with out of the box, buuut I think I will get a second pair of FP Kingfoam Elites if I can find them online. Because I do use shoe goo, which means it has to set 24 hours for maximum durability, meaning I basically skate two pairs of shoes at the same time lol. I can swap out the FP Kingfoam Elite insoles to whichever pair of shoes I skate, but it's a bit of a hassle sometimes.
Right on. Ya I've had 3 pairs (2 kingfoam and 1 gamechanger) and I like them equally. Beyond the break in/molding period, I personally don't notice a huge difference. I may get a pair of both at some point and alternate them to get a better comparison. Regardless, I really like these insoles.
Bought a pair of gamechangers, heated them at 235 for 8 mins, walked around in them for a couple hours, it was all good. But as soon as they cooled down completely, they became as hard as a board. Like the foam lost nearly all compressibility. I asked FP if this was normal, and they sent me a second pair. Went through the same process again, and got the same result. So I wanna hear from you guys, is this normal?
Thats weird. I've never had an issue with mine. Lately I've just been buying the kingfoams though. They do tend to harden a little once they cool down, but always hold their form. I have had zero issues. Have you tried to give them a few days....like wear them around and see if they soften up a little?
@@kingbananaSK8 Actually, I've meant to come back and update. I think I've figured it out... I went back to their site and noticed one of the other insole options molds just from the heat generated by wearing them (no bake). I thought, maybe they soften as I wear them. And they do. Then when I take them off and let them sit, they harden back up again. I still find it bizarre that there is no mention of the dynamic state of the insole, and no one from customer support mentioned it either. They just kept asking me, "Did you trim the insole?" Granted, even after they soften up, they are still pretty firm. I'm still undecided whether I'll stick with them. Every time I put my boots on, there will have to be an initial period where they're quite uncomfortable and I have to wait for the heat from my feet/friction to soften them up again.
Lemme know how they work for you. I’m too old to be doing anything more than walking down 7 stairs, but since I’ve been using mine I definitely notice a difference. Especially with my arches. I’d recommend using those heel pads as well.
Thanks for the review very helpful ... do you put these insoles on top of the normal insoles your shoes come with , or are you meant to remove the shoes factory insole then insert the FP?
Honestly I’d go w/ king foam. Beyond the set up I can’t really say I notice a difference. You can’t lose either way. Really dig both of them. Lemme know what you end up getting and how you like them.
@@kingbananaSK8 so I got the game changers cause the king foams didn’t have my size and I also got the Sentinels from FP footwear. So far so good, looking forward to skating them
Tbh, I’ve skate numerous pairs of both and I really can’t tell the difference besides the break in period. I really should buy 2 pairs and alternate them to see if I notice a difference at the time.
@@kingbananaSK8 they are the best skate shoe all around i've yet tried, as for board feel, support, comfort & holding up for a long time...my ONLY complaint is they are too narrow/tight (heard someone else complain about this.) NB often makes wider versions of their shoes, i wrote to them asking to do the same for the Foys, no response. if they were wider (& vegan!) they would be my fave skate shoe
Just depends on the shoes you're putting them in, but I got the regular Gamechangers (5mm) and they worked great. I skate the Addidas Busnitz and they have super thing stock insoles. What kinda shoes you putting them in?
@@kingbananaSK8 just my skate shoes but I guess they're great for any shoes. I have a gnarly bunion so I hope they help. I'm gonna put them in my snowboard boots too
I wouldn’t say I had a problem with foot pain prior to getting these, but they 100% helped with my issues. Landing primo never felt so good lol I’d definitely give them a shot if you’re having any sort of pain. What kinda shoes you skating in?
@@notyouraverage1saiah660 give these a try, make sure you pick the right ones though. They have info on their site to help you pick which will work best for your feet.
@@notyouraverage1saiah660 either my feet got old or Vans got worse quality, they used to be comfortable, now they hurt my feet, not even skating in them....
