Feeding time for my fish. In the video I fed them Ghost Shrimp, Rosy Reds, and Bloodworms.
The Ropefish is around a foot and my Ornate Bichir is at 4".
The Redtail Tiger Shovelnose Hybrid Catfish has grown from 2" to almost 6" in just two months. He'll be upgraded from his 40 gallon breeder, to a 75 gallon tank, to a 120 gallon tank, and finally into a pond as he grows.

It's very nice and the fish do love it. My Shovelnose Hybrid has grown and he's in the bigger tank now with that root. He likes to hide under it but I had to take it out for a while because it got covered in algae lol.

He'll eat anything that'll fit in his mouth, depending on how big it is. One of their favorite foods though are bloodworms. You can get a pack of frozen bloodworms at almost any pet shop for probably 5-6 bucks. You can also feed them sinking pellets, feeder guppies or live ghost shrimp but I'd go with the blood worms.

Depends on your water quality and how often you do water changes. Keeping him nice n fat with healthy foods helps too. Mine grew pretty quickly, he grew 6" within a year.

I've never kept a Stingray though if I did, a safe bet for a tankmate would be a surface dwelling fish. I've seen tanks with Stingrays and Arowanas and the two don't even notice each other.

When it reaches 4-5" is when you might wanna take it out I would guess. Unless you already have a 20 gallon, I would recommend getting the 40 breeder or whatever larger tank you'd plan on getting in the future. It'll be a lot cheaper and you won't have to upgrade.

Those are both good choices, though I'd use rosy reds more as a treat, try not to feed them to your fish as a normal snack. A lot of feeder fish like that can bring disease simply because of how they're kept at stores and farms. Live food is good though every now and then, mainly for stimuli, letting them have a little fun with their food lol.

You can start them off in a 20 gallon. I started the Bichirs I had in a 20 but you'll have to move them up sooner or later. As for growth rate it really depends. The Senegals I've had tend to grow quicker than the others. I'd say they'll grow an inch or more a month so plan ahead. If I were you though, I'd go for a 40 gallon breeder tank like the one I used in the video. It's only 40 gallons but it's very wide so there's plenty of floor room.

The smallest I've seen for sale are at about 2", that's probably the best size to get them especially if you want to raise them and keep them for a while. The big fat Senegal in the video I got at a little over 2 inches, was a little monster.

It depends on your tank size. The most economical one would be the Senegal. The Albino Senegals can be more expensive but are known to grow smaller, the smallest of all of them. It really just depends on your tank size. To hold just one Senegal I would reccomend from 30-75 gallon. Any of the larger species like the Ornate or Endlicheri would need a minimum of 100 gallons.

My biggest Senegal is around 8 inches, had him since he was a little bugger.

Lol thankyou, and a gallon equals 3.78 liters so a 250 liter tank would probably be around 66 gallons.

The grey one is a Senegal. if you mean the Albino, it's also a Senegal.

I'd say uncommon at best, though most places like even Petsupermarket will order them. They usually go anywhere from 10-20$.

Theres two tanks, the first one is 75 and the second is 40 wide.

@MRDONTCARE101 This is an old video and the Ornate's long gone but if I had one this size for sale I'd probably sell it for around that price, maybe more.
