UPDATE: So after filming this video and doing more research, there is a possibility that we can get his account back. Even though he will be set back over 5 months, I still think it's worth it. I just felt like doing this video was good because after his account got disabled, no one ever knew what happened. I feel like using my platform on RU-vid was the best way to get this message out. If ya'll could share this around so more people see, that'd be awesome! Hope you guys enjoyed the different type of upload! Have a great day ya'll
I’ve literally watched every one of your videos and enjoy them I hope your Chanel grows all the best for a challenge I think you should play match play matches against fans every now and then thanks
I definitely believe that the PGA should let all RU-vid golf channels show small clips of their events. In the end, they are getting free publicity and it will make people interested and want to watch it more.
Golf struggles to grow compared other sports because of the high entry costs (clubs, clothes) and recurring costs (green fees, balls, lessons). I'm new to the game and enjoy everything around it, but my previous points keep many of my friends from picking up the game.
agreed to some extent. I didn't spend more than $30 when I started for the first month. Used handmedown clubs and didn't have a membership anywhere, just practiced as much as I could
Not sure why all of their posts wouldn’t be considered under “fair use” rules of copyright. It gives journalists the right to use copyrighted material to comment on or criticize it without the copyright holder’s permission. In a day where social media is treated as journalism, I would argue that.
This video got me on the deep feels. This is probably why a lot of people have second accounts and such just in case this situation happens. I feel really bad about this honestly, much respect to him for fighting to get the account back and what he had to go through. I hope he does and I hope everything works out for the best in his situation. I like these videos man! I keep missing out on the Insta livestreams cuz of my work schedule lol
@@gmgolf if I may make a suggestion for instagram livestreams, any thoughts on doing some sort of structured weekly livestream where you talk about specific topics or current events in golf or anything about you and your golf content maybe? I got the thought from John Mayer and his weekly stream and I thought it would be really cool to have that sort of thing for your content since I really enjoy everything you post! Thanks for reading this if you do lol love your stuff man!! 👊😎
I wonder who makes the decisions at the PGA and The Open? One could argue as you have that everything they’ve done is well within their rights but it is a awful business decision. My guess is it is ran by committee and can’t get out of its own way! I would hire this “Golf Please” kid to create content! Heck, I would put him in charge of social media!!! It’s funny when kids dream up better content than college graduates!
gm_golf - you pose some great questions - Although, when it comes to copyright most companies are, as you are aware, very protective! The comment you made regarding the number of people all of the 'RU-vid golf community' regularly reaches might be something you all might be able to bargain with.. That and money. As a 'whole community' what harm would come if you all banded together and devised a plan that you could pitch the PGA. A clear plan to increase their followers and provide a 'small slice' of the action your companies make from posting their content. It would be no different than ABC or NBC broadcasting their content. There would be a whole host of legal issues that would have to be addressed however if you don't try................
You are the next generation of TV. The old suits only know how to make money selling the content to Big Cable. They don't see the value in producing hundreds of mini "shows" from a single match. If they did, rehashers wouldn't even be needed to fill that market void.
If you Pay for cable and are paying for the visual.. then you get ownership???...I guess what I'm saying is you pay for the cable service for the content and PGA put there content on cable.. then you payed gir the content 😉😉
