Awee I have a German Shepard but he is only 14 weeks😭 and a husky would be to much we already have a pitbull, black lab, and German Shepard...you should get them they are SO LOYAL like he is 14 weeks but he already tries to protect you and won’t leave you when you are on walks. And be already knows simple commands like sit, wait, stay, and come...we are working on lay
I also have a German Shepherd and a Siberian husky and they are the best paring of dogs I could have ever chosen. They both have the energy to tire each other out and the difference in personality is a perfect balance.
I think is awesome how your dogs understand commands in Chinese. I have two German Shepherds. The first one I got as a puppy and I trained him in Spanish so he understands everything in Spanish. My second shepherd was a rescue but he only knew commands in English. So every time I called them over I had to speak in both English and Spanish so they would both understand. Your dogs are gorgeous btw
You are correct, German Shepherds are arguably the most emotionally attached to there owners, and love to be with them. Huskeys and Malamutes are closer realted to the wolf and more wild And Independent. I raised a pack of wolves from pups, We had wide open spaces and I thought they would stay but most were gone for days at a time only one of fourteen wound up staying for good.
1:55 husky saw the opening went for it and won the hug 2:06. Clever dogs. Beautiful video. I've had a husky for 16 years. We went everywhere together, hiked, walked, rode, I brushed him daily, took him to stores and he LOVED to cuddle. He couldnt get enough. He ate beside me, layer on couch beside me, layer his head on my shoulder in the car. They are very loving dogs if you spend lots of time and bond with them they become like little kids.
I have a husky, they are a working dog. Bred for pulling and sledding. I recommend a husky to a person whole does alot of hiking, biking, or live in an area where you can sled. They are very intelligent to the point where they will do what they want to do. They can be trained but you need patience. In my opinion Huskies are teh friendliest dogs. They can be protective but its rare. Mine loves to cuddle up to me. They can be destructive, but mine has never even ruined a shoe. Mine loves to go everywhere with me. I don't recommend them off leash because they have such a high prey drive. If you're looking into getting a husky, make sure you have time and patience. Mine did fine in a small apartment. He is very quiet. I do not have a fenced in yard so i take him to dog parks or put him on a long leash. Huskies are fantastic.
Loved my Husky had many years ago but very independent !!! , My GSD girl Maxine almost 100 lbs loving and best dog I have ever had. bar none !!!!! Smart , loyal and my best friend !
Tridion It depends where you are. German shepherds are probably still the most common, but the Malinois is also very common now. They both are better at some aspects than the other.
I have had GSDs and recently a rescue husky after my old boy went to visit the choir Invisible, all great dogs. Will never regret the decision to rescue a dog, but will be sticking to the GSD in the future.
What's the hair shedding situation in a house with those two breeds? Had 3 GSDs at one time and it's like brushing multiple times per day had no impact. In summer they'd shed in clumps, not strands, and those clumps would roll across the lawn like furry tumbleweeds.
Ive had my Husky for 6 yrs and Shepsky (Shepard husky mix) for almost 3 yrs. The sheding can get to be a bit much. Regular brushing with the rake and ferminator and vacuming every 2-3 days. Keep roller tape by the soor and in each car...lol. It's totalling worth it for my 2 fur babies:-)
If you like dogs 🐶 and like to pet them, German shepherd and Siberian Husky is the best combination. If you can't get both, get a German shepherd. They are very intelligent and they love to learn. You will never know how loyal your shepherd will be. 😁
This video makes me love how people treat dogs. I just got a new German shepherd today from mutts in distress. A dog rescue home. My German shepherd is 3 and a half years old and is only just settling in to the house. Ps: I love dogs so much
I adopted a 5-year-old GSD 4 months ago. GSDs are so AMAZING! My dog doesn't bark at strangers but she highly dislikes other dogs. She cannot stand dogs. She's awesome though. And very shy and distrustful of strangers (but doesn't bark at them unless they are sketchy and may hurt me or her. :)
I miss my GSD and husky I grew up with. The GSD was called Tigger and despite the husky growing bigger than her, she always mothered him, being 8 years old when we got the husky, Bailey, as a puppy. 2 big silly furballs is all they were, Tigger died of old age and Bailey died of cancer. Rip to them both.
Two of my most favorite dogs ever! It's my dream to have a Husky and a German Shepherd at the same time! Please take good care of them! You seem very nice, so it shouldn't be a problem. Nice dogo!
Yeah it seems good but having a husky is hard work you need to walk them a lot and they don’t get along with other dogs if you don’t put a lot of work into them if you want a husky it’s best to get them as a puppy and train them And get them to know dogs (They really love people so they won’t really attack anyone) and a German shepherd is hard as well they’re big and scare a lot of people with there dogs around it And need a lot of walks and they can be to smart so just get a normal German shepherd aged 1-11 unless you want to find your dog everyday but if you’re a starter I recommend Pug,Sausage Dog,French Bulldog,English Bulldog, poodle,Golden Retriever,Labrador,Corgi,Chinuawua,Pomeranian And peckingnese
He looks good :) maybe he just need more exercise, I have a friend with a 120 pound shepherd omg....he's the must gentle giant ever I just feel that big shepherds are just gentle giant babies
Thank you for acknowledging that he's overweight and doing something about it. I see so many people defending overweight dogs, even though it's bad for their joints and back. Thank you.
I'm getting a German shepherd and I'm so excited. I've got big space outside my house so the size of the dog won't be a problem. I'm just worried about how my smaller dog will behave to him. She doesn't really like other dogs... Edit:I got him. Tomorrow he will be 1 month old. My other dog is really jealous. When he goes to her, she barks him and just leaves. But anyway he's very cute!!! ❤❤❤
Yes huskies are very social, but they are not guard dogs, and dont give a crap about strangers. My parents had a german shepherd and he was looking out for the family. The husky my parents have dont care if people ring the bell at there house. He just wants to play and run along with everyone. Never barks at people either unless they annoy him if they dont want to play with him.
