A man who puts in the effort and a woman who appreciates it. Blessings to them both.

My girl told me years ago that she would live in a cardboard box with me if she had to. True love is not bound by material wealth.

To me it just seems like it’s bigger than it actually is, I mean he even says multiple times it was all he could afford, clearly to her it means much more than the actual value, keep her safe and loved, don’t take her for granted.

This is both love and an investment. Cause we all know OP is gonna hustle his butt 10x harder so there's no way he'll ever need to buy the cheap daisies ever again.

Love this story. Reminds me the time I saw when a girlfriend was going to make her boyfriend cry and she was excited because she was gifting him a star wars cantina set that he always wanted. It was amazing

I was married to someone who resented me for having to spend money on his own wedding and buying me a wedding dress and nothing else despite being well off financially and then thought it’s an excuse to treat me poorly because he thought I had enough so seeing stuff like this where there is a partner who wants you to have the best they can provide within their means is a quality I admire even more in a partner, this is true love imo, never take for granted a partner who is like this

I had a girlfriend who hated flowers. She used to get mad at me and her "you shouldn't have" sounded spiteful. You reminded me of that cause she also dumped me for wasting money... Yeah, it was only in the breakup that I learned she was mad I bought her temporary flowers and chocolates when she would have preferred the same amount go to something more permanent like stuffed animals or journals.

@@Maninawig my ex was too cheap to even buy flowers which I would’ve loved btw, he was too cheap to buy anything for me after the wedding but basically spoiled himself with perfumes, clothes etc because I guess buying my wedding dress and paying for the wedding had to last me for the rest of my life in his eyes and in the end he was the one who left me, having to provide for me financially had everything to do with his decision because as I said he was cheap and backed out not that he admitted it. Thank god he did cos I can’t imagine the misery I would’ve endured with him. But I guess if your ex hated flowers and you continued to buy them for her then you definitely should have found what she likes instead, women just want thoughtfulness and consideration in a relationship and especially with gifts, for instance there’s no point in getting diamonds if your woman is a tomboy and says she doesn’t like jewellery, not knowing what she likes and dislikes is just seen as laziness on your part to your girlfriend (no offence) because the whole point of being in a relationship is to learn each other and try your best to make the other happy within your means of course as shown in the video

I’m not religious, but this reminds me of the story of the woman with the two pennies.

W couple. Op, you can't spend the money you don't have. Be financially responsible. It will get better.
